1 Star Disapponting
We love Legos and K’nex so we were excited about a new building toy that would work with both. We were so excited about the product, we bought a few sets to build on vacation. After building a couple of things, we were so disapponted with the system we gave it away. Pieces are difficult to put together, break easily and create flimsy final products.

5 Stars Great Toy
This is an awesome toy for kids who like to create. I like it even more than I do Legos and K’nex. It is limitless in its diversability and its ability to use recyled items (popsicle sticks, plastic grocery bags, empty water bottles, and others) make it even better for teaching children to use their imagination. Even my three-year-old is building awesome things.

1 Star Don’t waste your money
I bought this for my K’nex obsessed son because they supposedly work with K’nex. I suppose they do, but they BREAK. In fact they break ALL the time! Evidently it’s something the manufacturer is quite aware of because there’s an illustration in the instruction book about how you can use them in their new forms when they break!

My son decided to stick with his K’nex and I’m out an Uber lot of money.

5 Stars Uber Cool!
My boys have been entranced with this building set (they have the starter and uberpult). They are dedicated legomaniacs, but UberStix have expanded their repertoire considerably. And I love the several pp in the instructions that are dedicated to “if this piece breaks, it can now be utilized in the following ways. . .!” A very new way of thinking for a toy company! (But none have broken yet!)

Uberstix UberPult

Uberstix UberPult

It’s time to fling things with a purpose! Kids can now build a functional catapult and learn the physics that make launching objects through the air possible. The catapult itself only requires 90 of the kit’s 181 pieces, leaving plenty of extra pieces to upgrade and explore new design options. As part of our Science Project Series, this kit includes a Lab Sheet to test and record a series of suggested experiments.

1 Star Terrible
I got this for my son for Christmas and the instructions to put the thing together are impossible to follow. The colors don’t match what comes in the box and it jumps with pictures of large portions of it put together already.

1 Star Poor quality
I purchased this item for a physical science project for my son and UBERSTIX claims that they’re compatible with Knex but the quality of this product is very poor the catapult doesn’t work very well. I wish I hadn’t wasted my money with this product. Will never recommend anyone to buy from UBERSTX. DON’T BUY IT, JUST DON’T, DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

UBERSTIX SUCKS!!!!!!!

3 Stars harder than we thought
As cool as this toy is meant to be, the assembly instructions are not clear enough. The instructions group too many pieces together rather than the simple, step-by-step building instructions I am used to from Lego or Playmobil. My 9 year old nephew and I together had a tough time figuring it out, especially because the colors of the pieces vary from kit to kit so it was hard to know if we were using the right pieces. He had more fun constructing his own gadgets because he got frustrated trying to figure out the instructions to build the catapult.

1 Star Lousy Instructions
I agree with the previous reviewer. The instructions are not easy at all to follow. The color in the instructions don’t match the colors of the actual pieces. Also they have one picture for about 10 steps. It makes it very difficult and time consuming to follow.

I would not recommend this for anyone under 12 years old, and in fact I would not recommend this for anyone. I helped my son, but I didn’t have much fun. When we finally did get the catapult put together, it was pathetic. It shot a cog about 3 feet. It is possible that I didn’t put it together correctly, but with the sad state of the instructions, I will never know.

The pieces seemed durable enough, though a few did suffer from stress fatigue, and it would seem likely that they would not last more than a few times of setting up the catapult.

This is a toy that seemed to have a lot of potential, but in the end was not worth the money. Lego kits are more fun even if they cost more. For the time you have to put into it for the result you get this is definitely not worth your money or time.
