4 Stars Fun and Educational
I purchased the Colorforms for my 6 year old boy for Christmas. It is a great educational and artistic toy (and QUIET). There are many small pieces though. Keeping track of them and making sure they get put back into the book is a must. One flaw with the product is that the two oversized heavyduty cardboard pieces that the Colorforms stick to (one is black, the other white) do not fit into the bound book that holds all of the Colorforms. The cardboard pieces are a few inches bigger. It would have been nice if it were all bound into the one book for ease when traveling.

Bought this for a young friend of mine. He is enjoying these as much as my daughter, who is now 31 and my son who is 20 did. This is a timeless toy that brings out the creativity in all children.

2 Stars A little disappointing
I was disappointed because I expected this set to have shapes like people, houses, trees, flowers, etc. to make pictures, not just triangles, squares and circles.

5 Stars Discovering my inner child..
I’m a single 50 something male who lives alone (Kids are grown). I had put up these metal panels, (cooler looking than it sounds) on on of my walls, with the idea of magnetically sticking various artsy things in an ever changing way, just to give my apartment this impromptu sort of hipster look. Somewhere in the middle of the night I awoke with the thought of Colorforms in my head. I was pretty geeked when I found out they were still being manufactured. Even more happy when I found this company had the Original set, and considering free shipping.. a great price. The product delivered as promised, and I’ve been having fun with them ever since. Guests to my abode are encouraged to create. The only minor complaint was a rather slow ship time, but hey.. it was free shipping.

Thanks for a great deal.

These did not stay on board. Kids played with them once and it became a big mess. Lots of small pieces.

5 Stars My girls LOVE this!
I love Melissa and Doug. They have come up with some of the most creative toys around. My girls, age 3 and 2 both love this toy. The 2 year old is learning her colors and shapes, and the 3 year old likes to see how many she can do before she runs out of pieces. I would buy this again in a heart beat!

5 Stars fun and educational toy for 3-yr-old
My 3-yr-old nephew loved playing with this since he was 2. Learned shapes and colors, and his almost 2 yr old brother is learning fine motor skills with this toy as well.

5 Stars Great toy
I bought this for my son’s second birthday. He loved it and took to it right away. He spent over an hour on it the first time. He’s had it for a few weeks now and he sometimes pulls it out and asks to “make pictures”. He is so proud of himself when he fits the pieces in and when he completes a puzzle, he claps and cheers for himself. I had been wanting to get him a puzzle that is made up of basic shapes so this works well. I call out the names of the shapes as he puts them in and he repeats them. It’s also good for teaching colours. The only thing he sometimes has a problem with is the triangles, because they are not equilateral, so he has to turn them to fit them in. Sometimes he gets a little frustrated but I think it’s good he has a bit of a challenge – he’s learning to turn them so it’s an accomplishment when he fits them in. I love Melissa and Doug products. This as usual, is durable and attractive. There are more interesting puzzles in the box than what the picture shows – there is a train, fire truck, house, flowers, butterfly, dog, etc. I’m really glad I got this for him.

5 Stars A great puzzle for little ones
My 2 1/2 year plays with this alot. I love that it all stores nicely in the box it comes with. She knows all her shapes and I am sure this toy has helped.

5 Stars Great Educational Toy
I love this toy! We bought it for my oldest son for Christmas over 3 years ago, and now our youngest son loves it just as much. It is extremely durable~ well it has to be to survive 2 boys. A little paint has come off the edges of a few pieces, but that’s it. My oldest started learning shapes and colors while playing with this puzzle, and I am using it to reinforce what my other son has already learned. We have several peg/shaped puzzles, but this is the one that my youngest reaches for first.

Magnetix Mega Mix 140 Pieces in Case

Magnetix is one of the most popular construction toys in the world. By harnessing the power of magnetism, Magnetix allows kids to construct creative, gravity-defying structures. Magnetix toys were released by Rose Art Industries in September 2003, and have since branched out into several different toys. Magnetic balls can be used as the joints of a structure. Flexors, twisters, bars, squares, triangles, and extenders give kids all the options they need to build creative structures. This kit provides enough pieces for hours upon hours of fun. For extra convenience, the entire set is packaged in a brawny case, which makes clean-up and storage easy. Whether they are building a vehicle or a skyscraper, kids will be totally captivated by Magnetix, as they explore the power of magnetism and learn how it works. In addition to teaching them the basics of magnetism, Magnetix can also teach them other valuable things. It will go a long way in developing their creativity by encouraging them to use their imagination to concoct new designs and structures. It will also refine their fine motor skills and hone their ability to focus and be attentive. In addition, Magnetix can boost their reasoning skills, as it requires them to follow directions and find unique ways to solve problems. This is a 140-piece Magnetix Set, including balls, bars, squares, connectors, triangles, extenders, curves, twisters, flexors. Product Description With 140 pieces, the Magnetix Mega-Mix is the definitive Magnetix starter kit. It takes construction toys to the next level by using magnets as building blocks. Kids’ imaginations will soar as they explore the immense power of magnetism to design unique and complex structures. Recommended for ages six and up, Magnetix will completely enthrall kids and adults alike.

5 Stars Simple idea–Big fun
My 2 year old received this over a year ago. In the beginning, it got lost under the electronic, attention-grabbing toys. However, it later emerged and he became facinated with matching the shapes to the holes. He has now learned that there are many alternate options (e.g. two trianges can make a square, two squares can make a rectangle, etc.). He and his little sister also like to stack the pieces to make sandwiches! Although this is not their most sophisticated or exciting toy, it is one of few that consistently holds their interest.

5 Stars Great puzzle
I love the quality on these puzzles and their colors are very eye catching. I’m using them in my Bible class – when they answer the question, they get a puzzle piece. (2 & 3 yr. old class)

5 Stars fun and educational toy for 3-yr-old
