1 Star Latex in Sophie
I was thrilled to see that Sophie the Giraffe is phthalate and BPA free. Anyone with a baby knows how much they chew and put things in their mouth. I was very close to clicking on the purchase button for Sofie, but hesitated because I was concerned about the possibility that she may contain latex. I contacted the company and she does. Yes, I know that there is latex in many things, but with the rise in latex allergies, I don’t want my baby’s exposure to latex increased by gnawing away on this toy. There are many toys out there that are phthalate and BPA free and don’t contain latex. (Spielstabil, Boon, Haba, Wonderworld, etc.)

2 Stars no fun
My baby is more interested in any other teether, or clothes. I trust on-line reviews, and successfully bought so many interesting toys except this one. It is a waste of money.

5 Stars Baby Catnip
We received this as a gift and now I give it to every new mom. Something about the shape, texture, and colors of this toy makes it like baby crack–whenever a baby sees it, they instantly want to gnaw on her! This has been my baby’s favorite toy for the past two or three months (she’s 6 months old). I would echo other reviewers in saying don’t let the price deter you–it’s safe and GREAT for teething babies!

Great teether, soft and hard and noisy in all of the right places….The baby LOVES it!!!

5 Stars baby’s first toy….
Our baby LOVED this toy. She first showed interest in it at 3 weeks as it lived on the changing table. She is now 5 months & teething & Sophie is her best friend. Highly recommend this toy. Best gift we got hands down.

Can be placed in the refrigerator! 3-6 months + Thanks to this soother, baby teethes without pain… The ring is filled with water and can be placed in the refrigerator. The cold anaesthetizes the pain of teething. Light and easy to grip thanks to its ring shape.

2 Stars buy Sophie instead
Bought this for my teething son who loves his Sophie the Giraffe. He doesn’t care for this one nearly as much. The green handle is hollow and so there isn’t enough weight to this toy in my opinion. He prefers also his Natursutten cooling fishy teether.

5 Stars Safer teether and baby loves it
Vulli has some great products, and this soother teether is one of our favorites. The liquid in the clear circle freezes so it soothes her teeth. She likes to gnaw and it and loves to grab him and bang him against just about anything. Every time she sees the toy, she lights up. It got us through 6 teeth coming in in one day, so “Mr Frog” is our hero in this house. This, unlike some of the other teethers like sofie and pie, etc., is not rubber – it’s a hard (safe) plastic. The keys by Vulli are made of the same thing.

I thought this toy would be better made than it is. The only good thing about it is that the handle is easy for my son to grip.

My baby is only two and a half months old but has already started teething. We bought a bpa-free teether at a big box store (the only one they sold -what is it about stores making a big deal about bpa-free baby bottles and not carrying bpa-free teethers?). I brought it home and realized that it was way too big for my baby to get in her mouth comfortably much less hold.

The chilled ring on this teether is a great size for my baby’s smaller mouth and she can hold the ring in her hands even though the handle is still a bit far from her mouth for her to manage.
