2 Stars Flawed
I usually really like Doug and Melissa products; oversall they are well made, colorful, and fun. This puzzle is the exception – neither my toddler nor I like it. All the pieces are the same shape, and only 1/2 of each animal is removable. In other words the cow piece is the same as the horse, sheep, etc. – the only difference is the color of the pieces. Having interchangable pieces just isn’t fun for my son – he gets no feeling of accomplishment when he gets the pieces and doesn’t understand why he can’t remove the entire animal as one piece.

5 Stars A Great Product
Just awesome. These are better than they look. Quality is awesome. Must have for Pre-K children. Pieces even seem to be dog (Boxer) sturdy.

2 Stars Flawed, but cute
I was looking for wooden puzzles for my daughter when I stumbled across these. They looked colorful and fun. I read the reviews, and saw one that said the pieces were all the same shape. Looking at the picture of the puzzle, I didn’t understand that comment, the animals all looked like different shapes and sizes to me. Once we received the puzzles, I understood. The removable pieces are all little half-arch shaped pieces, and the majority of the animal is not removable. The only part that removes are the back legs, so to speak, of the animals, and the cabs on the vehicles.

They are still functional and maybe they could inspire some creativity by pairing the wrong legs with wrong animals, but it definitely wasn’t what I was looking for. For the good price, it isn’t worth returning as my daughter will play with it, but I wouldn’t reccommend them to a friend.

4 Stars okay puzzles
I’ve order a few puzzles from Melissa and Doug. These would be my least favorite, but aren’t bad puzzles. I thought the whole animal/car would be removed- But just the back end of them can be removed. Some are similar and are difficult to figure out which goes with which.

3 Stars Good quality but not great
This is a nice wood puzzle set that is well done for the price. Some of the pegs have broken off but I guess that is to be expected over time.

4 Stars Girls who loves princesses will like this!
I played both sides of this LeapPad game with my 4 yr old (one side has Cinderella, the other has Ariel) – and we had fun. As with most leapPads, the storyline and the verbal cues are a little too delayed when prompting the child to do certain activities and she wanted to wing through the pages quickly because she didn’t wait to listen for what to do next. I like the LeapPads, though, because they are more “book-like” than video games and I feel like she’s interacting with the characters. I like the drawing feature on this one, where she can trace the shooting stars with the pen. It’s a Nice, Happy product overall.

4 Stars My not yet 3 year old loves it!
I was pleasantly surprise to find that it was educational. Especially the expressions for emotions and Ariel and the music notes. It covers a lot of different themes. It is more for girls though. I found that boys were really not interested in getting Cinderella ready for her wedding.

2 Stars Cute
Cute… closest thing to a video game I’ll let my 3-year-old use. I like that the sound is soft on this toy. Makes a good travel toy – better than sticking a DVD in their face during a long car ride.

3 Stars My First LeapPad – Disney Princess Counting Tales
This would be a very nice book for the pre-school set. The problem is with the actual LeapPad that is difficult even for an adult to get to work properly. It just keeps repeating itself. Maybe we have a defective LeapPad. I don’t think the book is at fault. I would rate it higher if it worked properly on our machine.

5 Stars Great!
My daughter loves the Princess from Duisney and she loves to count, perfect combination!!

Children can let their imaginations run wild as they build towers and towns with this 60-piece standard unit block set. The 60 large, classroom-sized blocks have a classic look and are easy for little fingers to grasp. Ideal for ages three to five, this block set stimulates children for hours as they engage in imaginative play.

Naturally Finished for a Classic Look
Wooden blocks have been around for centuries and make an excellent tool to teach basic math concepts, organizational skills, sequential skills, and spatial relations. It is no surprise that blocks are found in almost every pre-school and kindergarten classroom. Youngsters become the architect of their own world as they fit pieces together to form their vision. This open-ended play set stimulates creativity and hones basic motor skills.

Each set features a large variety shapes and sizes including arches, columns, squares, rectangles, triangles, cylinders, and circles, as well as basic, half, and double unit blocks. This block set is crafted to the standard unit block size (1-1/2-by-2-by-5-inches) and constructed from Rubberwood, a resilient hardwood. The blocks are big, chunky, and easy for kids to grasp and build with. Smoothly sanded surfaces tantalize fingertips and create a handsome natural aesthetic. Best of all, when the child finishes constructing their masterpiece, all the pieces store neatly into a wooden storage box.

There is no limit to the types of fortresses the child can build with these blocks. This deluxe set even contains pillars, buttresses, gothic circles, and half-circles for advanced architecture. As an added bonus, the storage box doubles as a building platform. Children and parents have fun as they complete projects together. Parents can purchase another set and add to the amusement. An essential for any child’s toy box, these blocks are sturdy, durable, and beautiful enough to put on display. The box measures 15-by-12-1/2-by-15-1/4 inches.

5 Stars Great blocks, great price
Once again, Amazon comes through for me. My son was having a “block party” theme for his second birthday and my wife wanted him to have more blocks. I found these on Amazon.com for an excellent price and even with the free super saver shipping, I got them before the end of the week!

The blocks themselves are sturdy and well finished. The wooden box is a nice touch, but it takes some work to fit the blocks back in after dumping them out. The blocks have enough weight that it really hurts when my son throws them at me. :) I enjoy building with the blocks as much as he does, so all around it was a great buy.

5 Stars The one toy every kid should have
Bought 2 of these sets for my two youngest children 1 and 3 for Christmas. They are great. My 8 and 10 year old play with them just as often as my younger two. Just like the blocks found in a school setting, very durable and the wooden box they come in in perfect for building on top of if flipped over or for sitting in if you are little enough. I might even buy another set since 60 blocks is perfect for 1 child but once they start wanting to build towers high enough to touch 9 foot ceilings . . . you need more!

4 Stars Three-Year Old Loves Them
I purchased these blocks for my 3-year old nephew for his birthday two months ago and he is still playing with them. He received several trucks and a toy piano, but he loves his blocks the best. They seem to spark his imagination.

5 Stars Every child should have
Building blocks are one of the perfect toys for children of many ages. Our 3 year old twins, boy and girl, both love playing with these melissa and doug blocks. They are durable and a great size to build anything they can imagine with. It is nice that they are all the same color. We have some smaller M&D blocks that are in primary colors which are great to use as accents on whatever they build. You cannot go wrong with these blocks, a great toy. Most local toyshops ask about $59 for these, I paid $35 or so and with free shipping and no tax, it was a great find. Thanks Amazon.

5 Stars Grandson stated “Just what I wanted”
Grandson asked for building blocks, when they were opened he stated “Just what I wanted” Will be able to add to this set and he can build for years.
