5 Stars My girls LOVE this!
I love Melissa and Doug. They have come up with some of the most creative toys around. My girls, age 3 and 2 both love this toy. The 2 year old is learning her colors and shapes, and the 3 year old likes to see how many she can do before she runs out of pieces. I would buy this again in a heart beat!

5 Stars fun and educational toy for 3-yr-old
My 3-yr-old nephew loved playing with this since he was 2. Learned shapes and colors, and his almost 2 yr old brother is learning fine motor skills with this toy as well.

5 Stars Great toy
I bought this for my son’s second birthday. He loved it and took to it right away. He spent over an hour on it the first time. He’s had it for a few weeks now and he sometimes pulls it out and asks to “make pictures”. He is so proud of himself when he fits the pieces in and when he completes a puzzle, he claps and cheers for himself. I had been wanting to get him a puzzle that is made up of basic shapes so this works well. I call out the names of the shapes as he puts them in and he repeats them. It’s also good for teaching colours. The only thing he sometimes has a problem with is the triangles, because they are not equilateral, so he has to turn them to fit them in. Sometimes he gets a little frustrated but I think it’s good he has a bit of a challenge – he’s learning to turn them so it’s an accomplishment when he fits them in. I love Melissa and Doug products. This as usual, is durable and attractive. There are more interesting puzzles in the box than what the picture shows – there is a train, fire truck, house, flowers, butterfly, dog, etc. I’m really glad I got this for him.

5 Stars A great puzzle for little ones
My 2 1/2 year plays with this alot. I love that it all stores nicely in the box it comes with. She knows all her shapes and I am sure this toy has helped.

5 Stars Great Educational Toy
I love this toy! We bought it for my oldest son for Christmas over 3 years ago, and now our youngest son loves it just as much. It is extremely durable~ well it has to be to survive 2 boys. A little paint has come off the edges of a few pieces, but that’s it. My oldest started learning shapes and colors while playing with this puzzle, and I am using it to reinforce what my other son has already learned. We have several peg/shaped puzzles, but this is the one that my youngest reaches for first.

5 Stars Fantastic for my 4-year old
My little girl loves this clock. We leave it setting on her little kitchen table so she can remember to ask me what time it is, and then how to make that time on her clock. She’s about got all the hours down (all the “o’clock’s”) and is starting in on the “00:30’s” and has begun to ask all sorts of time questions and make time statements. It’s also helped her number site recognition with her challenge numbers of 10-12, as we pull a number out to make it her “buddy number” of the day, setting it aside so I can ask her about it and she can talk about it. And when we get to the minutes, it does have all the little hash marks for the 60 minutes of the hour. I only could want for the difference to be greater between “big hand” and “little hand,” but that’s nitpicking. They’re “chunky hands” and I have to keep showing her how one hand is bigger, and it would be more obvious if they were just a bit skinnier. But overall, it’s a great hit and is teaching her analog time very well.

5 Stars Great toy for my 2 yr. old!
I bought this toy for my two oldest children ages 4 and 6. And while they enjoy it and can learn time and 12 different shapes on it, my 2 year old loves this toy! The only thing we didn’t like is every time she picked it up the pieces would fall out and get lost frequently. To solve the problem, my husband put velcro at the bottom of the pieces! It works great! She can still get them out easily but now can carry it around from room to room as she does and they don’t get lost. She has learned quickly how to take them all out and put them in without any help. She plays with this daily. It’s a great learning toy and I’m glad I tried this Melissa and

Doug toy.

5 Stars Fantastic. Even the early ones will dig it.
This toy says it’s for 3 and up, but I bought it for my son who’s only 1.5 yrs. He may not get the “time” aspect of the toy but he really likes taking the blocks out and putting them back into their proper places, even so far as as aligning the shapes so the numbers are straight. Yet, we are still working on numbers, this is a great way for him to grasp the concept.

The Toy is all wood and, painted very nice and well detailed.

The Melissa and Doug Wooden Shape Sorting Clock is great quality and great as a teaching tool. The 3yr old recipient of this gift enjoys it quite a bit. However, I was disappointed in the complexity of ordering this on the Amazon site. I only ordered one – or thought I only ordered one and received three of these clocks. The return procedure was extremely easy — easy printable return label, but Amazon refused to refund postage on the return saying the error was my fault. I felt the error was due to the complex ordering. Therefore, the product ended up costing triple what was listed. Other than that– the product was great.

5 Stars Wooden Shape/Sort Clock Melissa and Doug
I bought this product when it was on sale, so I got a great price for a wonderful product! Very well made, colorful, durable, and very educational. I think it is very important to buy educational products for our children; they usually receive so many gifts that are “over the top” and not useful. I highly recommend this item!

5 Stars Simple idea–Big fun
My 2 year old received this over a year ago. In the beginning, it got lost under the electronic, attention-grabbing toys. However, it later emerged and he became facinated with matching the shapes to the holes. He has now learned that there are many alternate options (e.g. two trianges can make a square, two squares can make a rectangle, etc.). He and his little sister also like to stack the pieces to make sandwiches! Although this is not their most sophisticated or exciting toy, it is one of few that consistently holds their interest.

5 Stars Great puzzle
I love the quality on these puzzles and their colors are very eye catching. I’m using them in my Bible class – when they answer the question, they get a puzzle piece. (2 & 3 yr. old class)
