Kent Super Scooter

Sturdy enough kids and parents alike, Kent’s Super Scooter offers hours of entertainment and fun rides around the park and neighborhood with no destination required. The scooter features 12-inch inflatable tires for a rugged and smooth ride that can handle a variety of surfaces. Equipped with real brakes–bicycle sidepulls, not just a difficult and awkward plate to step on and rub against the wheel–you can come to a complete stop quickly and easily when needed. Built like a bicycle, this sophisticated scooter offers real handlebars, a bicycle stem, spoked wheels, and a steel frame to create a solid vehicle.

5 Stars A great scooter for the country.
I got these Scooters for my sister’s children. They live in the country, of course on gravel roads, the scooters are prefect for out there. They love them… Great buy…
5 Stars Great Scooter for Pre-bike Kids
I bought these for my 8- and 5-yr old sons. Both mastered the steer-n-balance required in short time. Better than bikes because they can catch themselves quicker than if on bikes. Great product, but does require some adjustment to brakes to get short stops. Lays the foundation for bike riding, both have transitioned easily to bikes. Sturdy product, I’d ride double with my 5-yr old while he was learning brakes (250 lbs total?). I’m shopping for more Kent products now, I’m a fan. Get protective gear – we never had a problem, but…
5 Stars This scooter delivers
The Kent scooter lived up to my expectations. My 6 year old was having a hard time learning balance for riding a bike. So I went on a quest for a full sized scooter. None of the stores toy’srus, walmart, kmart or bike shops carried them, they said there was no demand or they stopped making them. All they had were those scooters with the little plastic wheels. I’ve seen lots of kids hit a crack and the front end jacked sideways and they feel down in a heap on those razor type scooters. The Kent scooter was 6.00 more than those pieces of junk on the net. Upon recieving the scooter (slow mail for free took about five day’s) assembly was a snap. It held up under my 6′ 230lb frame with the test drive. My daughter jumped on board and was scootin merrily along in no time. Within a matter of weeks she asked me to try the bike again and off she went first time without a hitch. She still rides the scooter now. You just can’t beat this scooter for the money. My friends upon seeing it asked where to get one for their children. Heck, you’d think I owned stock in the company from all this typing. No, just very pleased with the outcome and would highly reccomend this product to anyone looking for one.
3 Stars Axel Nuts Now Come with Protection
This is not a review so much as an update of information. My rating of three stars was done merely to locate this review near the one that complains of scrapes. Apparently, the manufacturer listened to that review: I received a unit yesterday (April 9, 2009) and found much to my delight that it came with plastic caps for the axel nuts.
5 Stars perfect for her age!
My daughter is 5 and it is perfect for her age – it should grow with her for another two years – at least. The handle brakes are good practice for when she moves up to a big-girl bike. The big tires make it easy for her to balance. The kick-stand is also very helpful. Great value too.
