Baby Einstein Octoplush

The Baby Einstein?Octoplush is a soft, multi-textured, developmental plush toy. Young babies can hug Octoplush to hear a Baby Einstein?melody and explore the textures for tactile development. As baby grows, colorful stitched satin patches on velour legs invite baby to recognize color names through repetition. Squeeze each leg to hear color names in English, Spanish and French. Patterns of the color names are also printed on the underside of each leg in multiple languages

1 Star this octopus has lost it’s mind!
We received this toy at our baby shower, and were thrilled to get it. However, when we first started using it with baby, we noticed that it began to say the wrong color associated with the wrong foot. we would press the red foot, and it would say yellow. or press the white foot and it would say purple. Sometimes now, I’ll just be walking by it, without pushing anything, and it will shout out a random color. Obviously, this isn’t teaching our daughter anything!

4 Stars An Attractive toy
This toy is a cute soft toy with various colors. When I brought this for my daughter 6 months old,I got this toy for her when she was 3 months old, thought it would be one of those toys which would lose its identity after few days, but to my surprise she still holds on to this toy even after 3 months.

5 Stars Cute little Octoplush!!
I love this toy the first time I saw it!

Its sound is very nice and there are 3 variety songs if you press the head. If you would like to stop the music, simply press any one of its 8 legs.

Its bottom has a nice pattern and very attractive to a baby.

In sum, this toy is very good for its price!

5 Stars great toy
I bought this for a friend but before I could give it away my neice snagged it. I had to buy another. Both love it. It’s a little top heavy but they like it anyway.

5 Stars cool
this soft toy is really cool.. nice and soft.. good to touch.. kids will love it..

5 Stars Worth Every Penny
Yes, this is ridiculously overpriced, but my daughter LOVES it. The quality is great. It is bright and cheerful. It folds easily for storage and you can turn the music off easily. Did I mention that my daughter loves it?!!

5 Stars Wonderful play gym
I bought this play gym for my granddaughter. She is now 2 1/2 months old. She loves the the lighted butterfly and is constantly fixed on the bee! I like everything about it starting with the construction, the colors used, the cute theme and the very soothing music. The small boppy helps prop her up so she can bat the bee around and grab hold of the leg of the bee. (Quite by accident right now!) I highly recommend this item. My only wish is that the music lasted longer each time it goes on. I have to move it constantly at this point because she is not able to do it yet. I’m still giving it 5 stars.

5 Stars Great for learning cause and effect and for tummy time
My daughter spend quite a bit of time on this. She enjoys all the bugs that come with it. I keep the ladybug on her changing table. She has started carrying the bee with her. The large butterfly sings when she hits it. She quickly understood cause and effect with the help of this butterfly. The mirror is great too. She had used all pieces of this set.

The leaves on the mat make crunching noise when you move them. She tugs on them while on her tummy. The mini boppy was nice when she was really little. We stopped using that around 4 months. This is an engaging and fun play gym.

5 Stars Play mat
My son loves this playmat. At first he would just lie on his back and stare at the toys hanging down. Then I started using it for tummy time (though I agree that if you have hardwood floors you definitely need to add a mat or blanket underneath it if they are rolling over so they don’t hurt their head). Now he has discovered the toys and bats and pulls at them. I added extra links so that the toys would hang down closer to them so he could reach them. He loves hitting the butterfly so that it lights up and plays the music. He also loves staring at himself in the mirror that comes with the gym.

5 Stars Best Return for our Money
We received this gift for our baby shower and is the only product my baby used his first week and still going strong at 6 1/2 months old. At 1 month, he stared at the toys hanging. At 2 months he started batting at the toys. At 3 months, he understood hitting the butterfly set off the music. At 4 months he started grabbing the toys(we added more links and toys for teething and still using). At 5 months he started rolling over and looking at the pictures on the mat. At 6 months he started grabbing the crinkly leaves and firefly on the mat and trying to crawl around. All 6 months we used it for tummy time as well. He loves the bee for some reason – favorite stuffed animal he owns and it goes with us when he gets his shots or to playgroups. I think when he turns 7 months we will take the toy bar off as he is currently trying to pull on it to sit up. It’s not durable enough for this. We might think about wrapping the mat on the bottom of his crib mattress so when he wakes up quietly in the mornings he can go play on it(we’ll check the safety of this first). As for the boppy pillow that comes with it: we did not use this as he outgrew it quickly. We used a large boppy pillow instead. After feeding him, we would incline him on the boppy pillow so he could swing at his toys.

All in All, the best product we have! Everything else got little or no use and we’ve already passed on to others. This will be kept forever! Highly recommend!

Taggies Grabby Elephant

August 22nd, 2009

Taggies Grabby Elephant

Taggies developmental toys are based on the idea that kids love to rub satin edges, clothing labels and tags!
Taggies Super soft Elephant friend is so easy to grab and hold and so hard to let go of. And what’s that in his belly? It’s his little friend, the Wiggle Mouse. Pull him out and he wiggles right back into place. They’re almost as inseparable as a baby and her TAGGIE! Ages Birth and up.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Taggie elephant
If your child likes tags this is the way to go. My daughter loves to play with tags so we decided to get her a taggie. This one was a great choice. It has TONS of tags to touch and feel plus a little pull out toy in the middle.

4 Stars Taggies Grabby Elephant
I purchased this for my 8 month old niece for Christmas. She loved it!!! As soon as we handed it to her, she was playing with (and chewing) all of the tags. I would definitely recommend the product even though it seems kind of pricey for a stuffed animal.

5 Stars Taggies Elephant- So adorable!
My son loves this toy! The jingle is so easy on the ears and there is so much to look at on this one little toy. The little mouse that vibrates is still something my son has not figured out (He is 4 months old) but that is just another new thing that he can discover on this toy for when he gets older/learns more. Whenever my son is fussy I bring out this adorable elephant and he is ALL SMILES! (:

So glad that I received this as a gift.

5 Stars Love it!
My baby absolutely LOVES the taggie elephant! The different colored and textured tags give her lots of options when she’s searching for the perfect tag. I have even washed the elephant even though it has a chime in it. It came out of the washer perfectly intact still. The little mouse on the inside is a perfect little surprise with the vibration sensation. My baby can play with it for hours. Great toy! I would recommend it to others. My baby loves this much more than the taggie books for some reason.

3 Stars Cute, but not worth the money
The elephant truly is as cute as the picture. However, for the money, it’s just not worth it. I bought this for my 6-month old for Christmas. She doesn’t play with it at all. The rattle on the inside of the elephant is too hard for her to grab and pull out. I’m hoping as she gets older and more coordinated that maybe it will engage her more.
