5 Stars It’s all been said…
5th Grader games are fun in general. I got this for my sister’s kids. They love it. They even hog it. And sometimes they get stumped by it. It is worth the price. Pretty sturdy. It has an occassional freeze up moment. Which isn’t good when you’ve got several people who care about their winnings. Otherwize no quibbles or tribbles.

*Note: if you want the downside of things: The screen is tiny! Come on toy makers, not every one can read tiny print…. size about an inch.*

5 Stars very much educational for 10+ kids.
Are you smarter than 5th grader is very educatonal game for 10+ years old kids. My Nephew and NIece enjoyed it very much.I brought it from USA and they are in India and they are still having fun and playing it.

1 Star does not work!
it’s terrible. it didn’t work at all. would stop after a few seconds. I changed batteries three times and still nothing. I moved it around like they said because of “Static electricity” but still did not work. I emailed them for a replacement but never heard anything.

4 Stars I’m smarter than a 5th grader!!
I think it’s a pain to have to adjust the settings every time the game is turned on. No one can read the questions with the default settings, unless someone is a speed reader with incredible eyesight. It would be nice if the game allowed the setting to remain set until manually changed. The questions are challenging, however, and we’ve had a lot of fun playing this game with friends.

5 Stars Adorable! Looks like a real remote that kids always love to play with!
After searching for some time for a play remote for our daughter, we found this at a local Walmart store. It’s EXACTLY what I had been looking for!

Looks close enough to the real thing that your baby shouldn’t be too disappointed when you swap your real remote with this one.

My daughter loves how the blue eyelids close.

All the buttons makes SEVERAL sounds – the volume buttons on it actually do turn it up and turn it down in volume!

Her favorite button to push is the number 6 because it plays cute music.

Teaches numbers.

I always bring this with when we travel in the car or shopping at the mall. Small enough to fit in your purse, but big enough to occupy their time for a while!

VERY durable – I can’t count the number of times it’s been thrown around and dropped and it works perfectly!

I just love it! The batteries seem to last forever in it too which is a huge plus!

Buy it, you’ll love it! We’ve had ours for well over a year now, it’s in perfect shape, and our 19 month old still loves it.

3 Stars Good idea
I picked this up because I thought it looked like a good idea, since the color and shape similar to “real” one, and indeed it is. However, once my son was able to figure out how to work all the sounds, he was also able to figure out it wasn’t the “real” one!

5 Stars Happy with purchase – really cute and baby loves it
Our 8 month old was fascinated with the real remotes, so we were hoping this would be a good distraction. It’s working…she likes this toy. It’s really cute and each button has several different sounds/sayings, so it doesn’t get too repetitive.

5 Stars Saves My Remote!…
This toy caught my eye because it looks almost exactly like my actual TV remote. Same color, shape, even the buttons are similarly placed. My son has an obsession with our TV remote, and whenever he gets his little hands on it, it takes me forever to undo whatever it is he’s done to the TV settings!

As soon as I received this, I didn’t give it to him right off. I placed it on the arm of our couch (where I tend to place our actual remote) and let him find it on his own. When he spotted it, he made a mad dash for it, and was just thrilled to pieces! He kept looking at me sideways, wondering when I was gonna take it away, and sat quietly on the couch with it for some time!

I absolutely recommend this little toy! I never put it with all his other toys, I always keep it in the living room where the real remote is so he can feel like he’s playing with the actual thing…this was definitely a smart purchase!

5 Stars Great 1st Birthday Present
Gave this to our niece for her 1st Birthday. Huge hit! Great for cars and public places to entertain her as it has volume control and fits in diaper bag easily.

4 Stars Cars Walkin’ talkin’ lightning McQueen
Got this toy a few weeks before Christmas. Great deal at Amazon for $[...]. Can’t find a better price during the holidays if available; and trust me I checked Toys R Us, Kay-Bee, Target, Walmart, Bj’s and not once did I see it on the shelves. A few days later after purchase, Amazon jacked up the price for $[...]. My 2 year old likes it but you really need a big space to really enjoy this toy and unfortunately our living room is a tad small and carpeted. Sure to be a collectors item for a child who loves Cars, and who doesn’t? So that being said, it is well worth it.

5 Stars Cool Car
Fun toy, easy to operate, you do need a large open space to really enjoy all that it can do.

5 Stars Walkin’ Talkn’ Lightning McQueen
This product was for a birthday gift for a three year old. He was totally enraptured by it and has had a lot of fun with it.

5 Stars My 4-year old nephew loves it!
My nephew is obsessed with “colleen” aka “lightning mcqueen” – and he loved it the minute he saw it! When he’s not playing with it, he goes to sleep hugging it.

4 Stars Still Walking and Talking…
Any toy that my high-spirited five year old boy doesn’t break within hours of owning gets my high praise. It’s been three weeks, and he’s even dropped Lightning McQueen on a remote control Jeep (which broke off said Jeep’s tire) and it’s still kickin’. I would have given it five stars, but it’s a little pricey, and it’s novelty wears off quickly.

User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Great for listening with someone else, but music quality not so good
This product is really good for listening to books or podcasts, but not up to par for music. It doesn’t have a good balance of sound, so enjoying to instrumentals isn’t possible. I would recommend it because it is great when someone else wants to listen along with you. Otherwise, stick to your iPod.

5 Stars iHome iH13B Protective Speaker Case for iPod
I originally bought the 1st one for my son who is stationed on Okinawa as my daughter shamed me for not sending him any care packages. Happened upon it [...] Well, it has been the biggest hit. He brings to on all his outdoor activities, beach, rock climbing, camping, hanging out with friends. It protects his iPod and for the size and price has an incredible good sound. And more important for the 20ish crowd it is LOUD. I think the newer model actually comes with a hard plug in-this one works on batteries but can buy a plug-in cord but compared to the price of the case is rather expensive..like $[...]. I have since purchased 2 more-one for my younger son and my son-in-law.

4 Stars good now, but had a bad one first
We really like the product, works well and the sound is good. The first one we purchased did not work and we had to send it back, The second one works well, but we did not receive the cord that enables us to use other mp3 players, etc.

2 Stars Disappointed
Received the product and it worked for a few weeks. Then the speakers would not work. It could only be used if you plugged headphones into the unit. Returned to Amazon and got a refund. While it was working the speaker quality was OK. Easy to transport. Maybe I just got a bad unit.

1 Star What a waste…
I got mine from Toys R Us,just this past Sat.

The only thing it played was the instruments in the background, the singing you couldn’t hear for anything.

I did everything the instruction manual said to do,if you have a problem.

It should be noted that I have an ipod nano 4th generation.

I was wondering if this thing even works with my player.

We tried it with my DW Sony Walkman and it played fine.

Tried her SkullCandy mp3 player,it played that fine as well.

I hate this thing.

I thought I would love,boy was I wrong.

Fisher Price Imaginext Spike the Ultra Dinosaur

May 5th, 2009

Fisher Price Imaginext Spike the Ultra Dinosaur

Meet Spike, the dinosaur that kids bring to life at the touch of a button. He walks, he stands on his hind legs, he blinks, his mouth opens and closes, and his spikes even light up. You make it all happen with the easy-to-use remote control! Spike also makes lots of fun sounds, too. He growls, snorts, roars and more. Requires 3 “AA” alkaline batteries, not included. Also uses rechargeable 9.6 Volt NiMH battery, included (a $25 retail value)! Spike stands 27″ tall.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars So much fun!
I bought this for my 3 year old for Christmas…..I did not realize that my husband would be fighting him for the toy! At first, my son was unsure about this “life like dino” but now oh my goodness he loves it! He has picked up very quickly on how to use the remote to control Spike. He loves to leave him on so he can watch him go to sleep (he yawns, opens his mouth, blinks his eyes and then snores)! It was worth the money and I even enjoy making him do tricks…..

5 Stars My nephew loved it!
This was a birthday gift for my 5 year old nephew. According to his dad, “(he) is so in love with his present. He played with it all night last night and again this morning. Definitely a good one.”

2 Stars Buy at your own risk
It was great fun for about three weeks. My son (6 years old) loved it and we didn’t have any issues. Then the mouth stopped working. I started looking at reviews and saw that I actually got more use out of it than most since many reviews noted the mouth stopped working within the first week. We are still playing with it, but for the price I would expect more.

3 Stars Buyer Beware
I purchased this toy for my son on Christmas. He played with it for a couple of days and then its’ mouth stopped opening and closing. I called Fisher Price and they are mailing a new one. I was happy with thier costumer service.

4 Stars My son loved it, until it broke…but….
My 4 year old son wanted this really bad for Christmas. I hesitated because of the price and the fact that he never plays with any toys for very long, but I couldn’t disappoint him. He loved it and played with it everyday for over a month, until the mouth stopped working. I am so glad I read some other reviews to learn this is a common problem and not something he did to break it. I called Fisher Price and they are sending a mailing label for me to return it and they will send a new one. No original box or receipt required! While I’m disappointed that it malfunctioned, I’m very happy, at least at this point, about the customer service. Hopefully we’ll have better luck with the next one.
