4 Stars Our daughter likes this a lot
Our 10 month old loves to spin it to keep sounds or music going :)

I appreciate that the volume isn’t too loud in the low setting (a real problem in too many toys)… the variety is good: the music, animal sounds and letter settings are all different. Note that the animal sounds are a bit exxagerated… they had to find an animal with “X”, so they say “X-Ray Fish” (not even sure that’s a real fish!) and of course the sound is made up.

A good buy, since “spinning” is a pretty interesting concept to have a baby figure out.

5 Stars My 8 month old daughter loved it at 6 months and still loves it at one year!
We also bought this for a friend’s first birthday and she loves it. It has at least three settings, one for just abc’s, another for the animals, and the third for both, including singing the abc song.

5 Stars Fantastic choice!
I bought this toy for my 15 month old son and he loves it! It’s easy to use and very durable considering a little boy is putting it to the test.He loves the music although it can be a little repetitive for the parents, but I can overlook that when I see how much fun he is having.

4 Stars Fun for all ages :-)
We got this as a Christmas present for our daughter (when she was 4 months old). We set it up on her high chair to keep her entertained while we made her food. It took her a week or so to figure out that she has to spin the middle part and now she loves this being a part of her routine. She only plays with it for a couple of minutes while the food is being warmed/prepared so it doesn’t reach the annoying level – but I can see how it could. I do have to say that I’ve never heard an x-ray fish, but I don’t think it’s sound is bzzzz. Other than that, I think this is a great toy to teach even younger kids dexterity and older kids about the alphabet and different animals (regardless or how silly the sounds may be). My daughter actually gets a kick out of it when I try to imitate the crazy sounds!

5 Stars Love it!
This is a very sturdy and educational toy. My one yr old would repeatedly drop it but it’s still in great shape. I love the feel of the product overall…it feels firm not flimsy. This toy automatically turns itself off when not in use and you have two different volume controls. My 4 yr old also tries to take it and play with it :) . The music is fun and engaging….my 1 yr old dances to it:) too cute… All in all I love this…I bought for my 1 yr old for her birthday.

5 Stars Play phone with lights and sounds
I bought this phone for the grandkids and they love it.(Age 1 and 6 months) They esp. love the flashing lights that go off when ever you push a buttom. Its not overbearingly loud, and has music and a phone that says “lets call mommy, or lets call daddy”. The nice thing also is it has a turn off button, it also seems very durable and strong. In this household, the kids love it!

1 Star Disappointed
I’m surprised this toy got so many positive reviews. The speaking voice that comes out drives me crazy! The inflections of individual words don’t match the sentence; for example, the voice says, “This is the RED triangle” and the word “red” has this excited, overly happy inflection. It just doesn’t fit in the sentence. It’s the same with most of the sentences and sounds unnatural – “Let’s call MOMMY!” It reminds me of a computer voice where the words are pieced together. We have other Vtech toys that we are very happy with. I wish we had a different brand of toy phone, though!

5 Stars Shocked at how much my toddler loves this!
I bought this used from a consignment shop, not from Amazon. It was a little scratched up from the previous owner but otherwise works like a champ. We’ve had it for a couple months and it’s been dropped all over the place and played with almost every day, and still going strong. So, full marks for durability!

This is actually the 3rd toy phone that we’ve bought, but the only one that has absorbed my toddler’s attention for more than a couple minutes. Yes, the songs and sounds are very annoying to me after a while, but he loves it so who am I to complain?

I don’t know what that other reviewer meant by a foreign voice. Ours sounds American and is perfectly coherent. She is maybe a little too enthusiastic about shapes and colors, but whatever.

This has an on/off switch but no volume control. The volume is an adequate level for the house or car, not too quiet, not too ear-damaging. If it’s too loud for you, you can put a piece of packing tape over the speaker to muffle, like we do with many of our other singing toys.

5 Stars BEST phone for your money
My daughter has had this phone for about 2 yrs. It has grown with her. At 1 – she liked the lights and sounds (and could chew on the antennae without worry). At 2 – she knew what sounds came from which button in all 3 modes. Now at 3 she is listening to the words and repeating them and thinking about what it all means. I leave this in the car and it’s her toy when we are on the road. I love that it has French and Spanish on it as well as English. It’s never too early to introduce other languages. We had tried a few other brands before we found this one and by far this one is the best. Batteries last forever in it. This would make a perfect gift to expecting parents.

5 Stars perfect christmas gift
I bought this for my 1 and a half year old niece and she hasn’t stopped thanking me. She played with this gift the most out of all the crap she got this year. I can hear it now as I type.

Fisher Price Precious Planet Jumperoo

September 6th, 2009

Fisher Price Precious Planet Jumperoo

Offer your baby something fun everywhere he looks with the Fisher-Price Jumperoo. Boasting a colorful Precious Planet theme, plush animal toys, and five toy stations that surround your baby, this interactive play center keeps your child engaged and entertained. It also helps prepare your baby for standing and walking by exercising his leg muscles as he jumps in a safe, stable environment.

A world of jumping fun for your little one! Rewards baby’s jumping with music, sounds and lights!

Spinning seat lets baby easily explore all activities all around!
Height adjusts as baby grows!

Just switch on when baby is ready to play. Volume control too!

Promotes Independent, Exploratory Play
Featuring a seat that spins 360 degrees so your baby can play and interact from any side, the Jumperoo gives your little one endless opportunities for fun, exploratory play and safe, comfortable movement. Colorful animal friends spin, jump, and pop up while music, lights, and sound delight your baby and stimulate his senses.

A Variety of Features Encourage Developing Motor Skills
As your baby stands upright in the Jumperoo with his weight supported, he prepares his muscles for walking. At the same time, as he moves around to look at or play with the different toys, he enhances his large motor skills. As your baby feels more comfortable, he can start bouncing and jumping–actions that strengthen his legs and build confidence. Additionally, the toys offer a variety of textures to provide tactile stimulation and encourage healthy sensory development. There’s also an electronic play area at the front of the Jumperoo that can be activated by your baby–teaching him the relationship between cause and effect.

Bright and colorful toys like a plush banana and parrot are perfect targets for batting, while a cheery lion and a spinning color wheel stimulate your baby’s visual and auditory senses. As your baby reaches and grasps, she improves her hand-eye coordination and enjoys the pleasure of physical movement.

Designed to Keep Your Baby Active, Engaged, and Comfortable
The Jumperoo encourages long-term, comfortable play. The seat is suspended by three springs that allow children to hop up and down. The springs also provide limited travel from left to right and front to back. The Jumperoo’s seat is easily height-adjustable by means of three position straps, so it truly grows with your baby. And to help keep your baby engaged, a motion sensor encourages him to explore and play by rewarding him with an explosion of lights and sounds whenever he jumps.

Safety, Portability, and Compact Size Give Parents Peace of Mind
Besides being great fun for your baby, the Jumperoo includes many perks to make parents happy too. First, its safe design keeps your baby secure, even as she moves around, providing a great alternative to walkers. Additionally, the Jumperoo requires no doorway; simply set it up anywhere you choose and take it with you from room to room as you clean, cook, or relax. Finally, the storage tubes simply pop off the base, so you won’t have to worry about this toy cluttering up your home.

Safety and Development Information
The Jumperoo can safely hold children weighing up to 25 pounds or measuring up to 32 inches. It’s designed only for children who are able to hold their heads up unassisted and who are not able to climb out of the seat or walk.

The Jumperoo requires three “AA” batteries (not included).

4 Stars overall a great toy
My son’s pretty happy with his jumperoo. When we first got it, he was still too short, even for the lowest setting, so we stuck a dictionary underneath and off he went. He does get bored, sometimes after 5 minutes and sometimes after 45, but that’s the same for all of his toys.

The only real complaint i have is that there’s no teether. I solved this by sticking one of my son’s teething toys onto a pacifier tether, and clipping that on to the jumperoo. Now he can munch on a teether with one hand while playing with the toys with the other, and is much happier.

There are some concerns mentioned in the low-star reviews that i feel compelled to refute. First, my son was, at four months, the height of the average 7 month old and the weight of the average 5.5 month old, yet he fit into the seat with so much room to spare that we pad him in with dishtowels. He’s taller and heavier now, but still needs the dishtowels. I don’t understand the reviewer complaining that the seat is too small. Second, yes, i suppose it’s possible for a child to get their finger pinched between the elephant and the green bar, but i’m not the kind of parent who’s going to throw away a toy because my child’s finger was slightly pinched.

I have one concern of my own, though. My son has, only once now, managed to extend his arm past one of the toys, then turn the seat, pinning his arm back. Since he is only a few months old, he doesn’t have the sense to turn the other way to release his arm. He seemed more annoyed than uncomfortable, but he couldn’t continue playing until i unstuck his arm. As long as you aren’t leaving your kid entirely unattended while in the jumperoo, there’s no chance of actual injury, but it is something to keep an eye on.

5 Stars Madeline Loves It!
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2LWG78XCU8SBV Pros: Easy to Assemble & Clean, Holds Baby’s Attention, Keeps Baby Busy, Promotes Sensory Development, Builds Leg Muscle Tone, Long Battery Life

Cons: Bulky, but Easy to Break Down

Our daughter has fallen in love with the Rainforest Jumperoo. As time has passed (we’ve had it for 4 months) and as she has become acquanited with it, it’s almost like she’s finding a new toy every time she’s in it! At first, all she really did was jump. Now, she’s figured out what she can do with the toys/attachments, and it’s so adorable watching her reeeeach up for the dangling bird & lizard.

This one will be passed down to my sister who is expecting twins. She’ll be geting another bouncer (Bright Starts Bounce Bounce Baby Activity Zone – Neutral) from “Nana” that isn’t nearly as fun, flexible, and entertaining as this one. I see sibling rivalry beginning very early in their lives. =)

5 Stars My baby loves it!!
I bought this when my baby was just 4 months old because she was already very active and wanting to sit up. She was spinning around in the seat and flicking the spinning frog almost immediately. She is now 6 months and she loves playing and bouncing in the jumperoo. It is so much fun to watch her jump up and down and end up going from side to side!! I recommend this jumperoo to anyone looking for a sturdy and interactive jumper. The colors are wonderful. I love the rainforest collection. It’s not too busy like other jumpers I have seen. I think too many activities on the jumper leads to frustration. This has the perfect amount of ‘gadgets’.

4 Stars The toys are a bit lame, but he LOVES the jumping!
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3OZPMFEGEQZZG This is our 7 month old, Elijah. After a couple of weeks of him jumping on my lap and trying to jump in his exersaucer, we decided to give the jumperoo a try. This is his first time in the jumper, and as you can see he LOVES it!!!

5 Stars Best toy we have for our daughter
Wow, our 7 month old daughter LOVES this! It has her jumping and bouncing around all the time now. We were going to get a jumper to hang in the doorway so that we could save space but we thought this one was so cute that we gave in and purchased it from Target. My daughter could spend hours in this thing! She babbles at the banana and toucan that hang down. Jumping activates the sound (which has two levels of volume) so she gets excited and then jumps forever it seems. You can set it to music or animal sounds, super cute and not annoying at all. I love that the seat spins 360 degrees so she can spin and see me where ever I am in the room. There are different toys all around the jumper so she never gets bored, there is always something to spin or poke. There is also a teether attached to it and she loves chewing on that thing!

GREAT JUMPER. GREAT INVESTMENT.
