1 Star this octopus has lost it’s mind!
We received this toy at our baby shower, and were thrilled to get it. However, when we first started using it with baby, we noticed that it began to say the wrong color associated with the wrong foot. we would press the red foot, and it would say yellow. or press the white foot and it would say purple. Sometimes now, I’ll just be walking by it, without pushing anything, and it will shout out a random color. Obviously, this isn’t teaching our daughter anything!

4 Stars An Attractive toy
This toy is a cute soft toy with various colors. When I brought this for my daughter 6 months old,I got this toy for her when she was 3 months old, thought it would be one of those toys which would lose its identity after few days, but to my surprise she still holds on to this toy even after 3 months.

5 Stars Cute little Octoplush!!
I love this toy the first time I saw it!

Its sound is very nice and there are 3 variety songs if you press the head. If you would like to stop the music, simply press any one of its 8 legs.

Its bottom has a nice pattern and very attractive to a baby.

In sum, this toy is very good for its price!

5 Stars great toy
I bought this for a friend but before I could give it away my neice snagged it. I had to buy another. Both love it. It’s a little top heavy but they like it anyway.

5 Stars Great musical toy, great sound
This musical toy is fantastic. Our granddaughter is fascinated with the music and the flashing colors. It is quite entertaining and the the music plays nice and clear. This is a toy that all parents should have.

5 Stars The BEST Infant Toy We Could Find
Our baby is 3 months old, and loves to look at lights, especially those that move or flash. That being said, those items are hard to find. Most only play about 3 seconds of songs and lights, then you have to activate them again. This toy has 1 large, kid friendly button that activates it. They are then treated to about a minute of classical music while 7 LED lights of different colors flash to the beat. It has made a huge impression on our little one, and brought great relief to us. The music is no CD quality, but is non verbal classical (you have heard all of the songs before) and it is not as annoying as other toys. It doesn’t bother us a bit, but we are former classical musicians. For $10 (or less) IT CAN’T BE BEAT!!

4 Stars Guaranteed smiles…great for picture-taking!
Overall, a great toy. My son really began to enjoy this when he was about 2 months old. As everyone else says, the music is actually really nice–better than any of the other toys we have. But the best thing about it is the lights…something about the way they dance around, it always makes my little one smile. In fact, whenever we want to take pictures of him smiling, we would hold it behind the camera to get big grins from him. The only thing I would change about it would be to make the caterpillar handle a little smaller. He is four months old now, and still cant hold onto it. I am a little concerned that by the time he’s old enough to hold it, he won’t be so interested.

1 Star worthless
the only thing my little girl has ever done with this toy is throw it… she is completely uninterested in this toy.

5 Stars great for tantrums
This toy gets my son’s attention. The music and the lights are a perfect combo. When he throws tantrums or get restless…it always gets his attention. I love it.

3 Stars Fun, but way too loud
Great idea, and fun for the baby, but so loud that I have actually wondered whether it is safe for my child’s hearing. I can hear this toy all the way upstairs, in a totally different part of the house if it is playing in the living room. I have heard it TWO floors up at my parents’ house. It is WAY too loud, and unfortunately there’s no way to turn it down.

5 Stars PERFECT
Santa gave this to our 6 month son for Christmas. Both he and my 2 year old LOVE it. It is wonderfully sturdy, and has many music functions. My 2 yr old will announce each instrument as she adds them into the melody. My husband is a music educator, and he gives this a big thumbs up! Thank you Santa! Would buy again and again.

5 Stars long-term entertainment
My daughter got this when she was 3 months old and it was one of her favorite toys. She’d kick her legs to turn the music on and off. At almost 2 she still loves it.

1 Star Do NOT Buy
I second the other reviewers who warn that this is a cheaped out version of the original Embryonics toy. I got this toy and while it is a great idea, the sound is so bad and OUT OF TUNE that I just couldn’t let my kids play with it. After reading the reviews saying that the old Embryonics version was better, I got one on ebay and in fact it was. Shame on Munchkin for taking a great toy, ruining it, and then riding on the coattails of the original toy. What’s more, when I called the company, they just told me to send it back at my own expense and denied that they had changed the innards of the toy. But I played it and the original one right after the other and the difference is obvious, and huge. Scary when a company that makes items for babies lies to you. I would have given zero stars if I could. I will never buy a Munchkin product again. Trust is everything in the baby business.

5 Stars Amazing toy that keeps my baby busy
I bought this for my son when he was 9 months, it continues to be his favorite toy, and is the only one that keeps him occupied for more than 5 minutes. He will still play with it for a long amount of time at 12 months, and now uses it for background music, while playing with something else.We have to bring it with us whenever we go away.
