LeapFrog Learn and Groove Musical Table

It’s a learning fiesta for your little one. This interactive, bilingual activity table engages and entertains your baby for hours. There are songs, melodies, twinkling lights and real instrument sounds, plus lots of things to spin, roll, slide, open and close. The table plays over 40 songs and melodies so your baby stays entertained while exploring. When babies turn the center page, the activity table switches modes and transforms musical discoveries into learning activities where each instrument plays a learning song. The Learn and Groove Musical Table also helps your child develop the motor skills needed for learning to stand. Contoured grips make “pulling up” a piece of cake. As babies learn to stand, their little hands can stay busy with reaching, grabbing and pulling. Measures 23″ x 5.5″ x 15.5″. Requires 3 “AA” batteries (not included).

3 Stars The legs are not detachable
Don’t be fooled! You can use this on the floor or up on its legs. But once you put the legs on they do not come off. I contacted LeapFrog and they said they are modifying the packaging to indicate this. I had planned to return it but with the legs on it would require a large box and was just more of a hassle than I bargained for. So I kept it but was sorely disappointed. Had I known this I would have bought something else, or at least waited until my grandbaby was able to stand before I put the legs on. Either way, I can’t remove them. A search of the net resulted in some directions on how to remove the legs but I felt like I was going to break them.

5 Stars It gets used everyday
This table has less annoying music than many, and my 11 month old daughter goes over to it at least once an hour and pushes buttons to make music. Two and 3 year old children seem fascinated with this also, and the ability to take the legs off and use a a toy for little crawlers make me glad that in a our low-toy household, we have this toy. We bought it used and find it in great shape.

3 Stars BEWARE of unstable legs
This table is fun, but buyer beware regarding the legs on this toy! First, many of the pics of this item are NOT of this item! The table with the wide feet and blue lights around the center is an older item which is no longer made (I tried the older version at a friend’s house and loved it). The wide feet provided a wonderfully stable base for this toy. However, the new version (with red lights) has unstable legs which are prone to tipping on your child. The legs are also NOT detachable on all units. I was told by Leap Frog that the only way to know whether they are detachable is to unbox the toy and look on the bottom of the item for a “press here” indicator where the legs attach. Seriously?? I’m not sure of a store that is going to allow me to open all the items to find the one with detachable legs! That said, I have the one with the NON-detachable legs and mistakenly attached them BEFORE my child was able to stand independently. Any attempts to use this toy to pull to stand result in this toy tipping onto my child. UGH! So, this toy requires VERY close supervision (as in my holding onto my child while he plays with it in order to avoid him pulling it over onto himself). Other than that, the noises are a bit annoying with a very jazzy lady belting out sounds and songs, so I typically leave it in the OFF position. Why oh why can’t toy makers make SIMPLE cause and effect toys with short bursts of sounds rather than these long, annoying, never-ending songs and sounds? Oh, how I miss the simpler times!

5 Stars My son loves it
My son loves this toy. He has had it for over a year now. I am really surprised how long the batteries last in this unit. A nice feature is that the legs are removable. This allows the music table to be placed on the floor or a tabletop, or to easily be stored away for future use.

3 Stars She never plays with it
It seems like a great toy, and it is very durable, but my daughter wants nothing to do with it. It has just sat in the play room since she was 1 year old.

5 Stars Help baby sit up!!
This toy is an excellent purchase for a 4-5 month old. My son was sort of sitting up, but this toy drove him to sit up on his own! He loves playing with the different settings and the rolling cylinder as well.

5 Stars Great
I got this for my niece for christmas, she LOVES it and plays with it all the time. Great for young children.

5 Stars Baby loves it!
I purchased this for a 1 year old’s birthday party and I also purchased one for my 6 month old. They both love this toy tremendously! Even though they are a little young to learn the numbers in english, spanish or french they still love the lights and sounds. Entertains for a while.

4 Stars Cute & fun!
My 8 month old likes this toy. It keeps him entertained enough while I’m busy. It’s the perfect size as it’s not too big to put on table in front of him or to tote around. The keys are the perfect size for his little hands. And I like this toy for me because the classical music is nice to listen to and not annoying at all when my baby boy is playing with it.

5 Stars The best piano ever!
My 9 months old just loves this piano, and his parents too! It has everything he wants; melodies, numbers (in 3 languages), instrument keys. Also he loves the roller drum and color balls.

I definitely recomend it!

Fisher Price Little Superstar Sing Along Stage

A symphony of music, lights and melodies rewards your baby’s movements through two modes of interactive play. In Mode 1, your little one can hear songs by activating one of four instruments. Instruments include a drum, mini xylophone, trombone and guitar. In Mode 2, baby is encouraged to “play” the instruments and shake the magical microphone for musical sounds and a dazzling light show. Requires 3 “AA” batteries (included). Measures 12″L x 16″W x 19.5″H.

4 Stars Great Toy For Independent Sitters
My 9 month old daughter loves this toy. She talks to herself in the mirror and loves the microphone and all of the buttons and music. It is very upbeat and one of the better toys I have purchased for her.

Their are 2 downsides. One is that if the baby pulls on it it can tip over. The second is that the music plays continually and does not go off on it’s own when it is not in use.

Other then that I would never trade this toy in. She adores it.

5 Stars One of the best baby toys out there!!
I would have never guessed this toy would be such a hit with my baby! (and my 2 year old likes it, too.) We’ve had it since she was about 6 months old. She is now almost a year and still spends time playing with it several times a day, every day (and she has lots of things to choose from!). Just today, she was sitting in front of it, looking at herself in the mirror and laughing. She can pull herself to standing on it without it tipping over. The songs and music are catchy and fun and she just loves to bang on the piano keys (which are connected as one big piece), the drum, and spin the ball on the guitar. The older kids sometimes play with the microphone, but other than that, it doesn’t get used much (if at all) by baby. I love that it has an on/off switch and volume control. If I could add one thing to it, it would be a molded plastic little pouch or pocket on the back to store the song cards in. You don’t really need them, but it would be nice if they had a “home”. Also, the mirror isn’t that great of quality. The kids don’t seem to mind, but I would love it all the more if it had a better quality mirror. All in all, though, this toy is totally worth having! I’m so glad we purchased it for our little one!

5 Stars A hit for both Grandchildren!
I bought this item for my Grandaughter as a first birthday gift. Not only does SHE love it, but her 3-year-old brother does as well. In fact, they started fighting over it about five minutes after it was put together! It’s a fun and durable toy.

5 Stars Worth every penny!
This toy was bought for my Granddaughter when she was 6 months old. She wasn’t sitting up for a long period of time so we ignored the legs and just leaned the mirror against the side of the crib. The toy was an instant favorite! Once she was able to sit up we attached the legs and now she’s loving the music and lights. Her face just lights up when ever she presses the buttons! This toy is a must have! The songs are cute and don’t get old ((unlike some other toys we have)) and you can change the instrument that’s playing the song. I.E. if the wiggle song is playing, you can press the drum and the drum is playing the tune, the piano and then the piano is playing the song, so on and so forth. If you have the chance, purchase this toy!!!

5 Stars My son LOVES it! Worth every penny
We have had this since my son was 4 mo old, and he LOVES this toy. At 4 mo old I would put him in his bumbo and set this in front of him and he would have the best time and sit and smile at it. He is now 7 mo old and although i can’t just sit him in the Bumbo anymore and expect him to stay, he will still sit in his Bumbo supervised and plays with this toy, he still loves it! One of the best investments for him to date! Highly recommend it!
