RipStik Caster Board Pink

RipStik Caster Board Pink

Best described as a cross between a skateboard and a snowboard, the RazorX Ripstik caster board is the perfect ride for kids looking for the next big thrill. The board is distinguished by its pivoting deck and 360-degree inclined caster trucks, which offer a snowboard-like carving ability. A simple weight transfer lets you turn or accelerate without pushing, just like when you’re carving down the slopes

5 Stars Grandaughters Rip Stick
My oldest granddaughter, Cara, loves her Rip Stick…she has some good moves….good construction on this products. Has held up well

5 Stars Great!
I bought this for my 12 year old son, and he loves it! He learned how to use it very quickly and uses it a lot. Two of his friends also have them and they’re out on the Ripstiks constantly! It seems very durable and well contructed. I’d like to try it myself, but I’m afraid I’ll break something!!

5 Stars Ripstick Review
We ordered our Ripstick at Amazon.com because we wanted to choose a color that wasn’t found in stores. It also happened to be a better price than local stores. We recieved our ripstick and my daughter got on it immediately, she was on it for about 2 hours and only had it for 2 days when the rear wheel crumbled apart. I called Amazon right up and they explained there must have been an air bubble or some kind of defect in the wheel. We have a new set of wheels sent out to us right away, free of charge of course! I was very pleased with the ease in ordering this item online

Trouble Board Game

March 17th, 2010

Trouble Board Game

It’s the classic race-and-chase game with the PopoMatic die-rolling bubble! Pop the bubble and hop your pegs around the track. Land on an opponent’s peg to bump it back home! But don’t you get bumped back, or you’re in Trouble! Keep poppin’ and hoppin’ to get all 4 of your pegs to the finish line first, and you win! Trouble includes plastic game unit with PopoMatic die roller, gameboard, 16 plastic playing pegs, and 4 rubber feet.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Fun with a purpose!
Though I grew up with Trouble and loved it, I now use it in play therapy. It is a great tool for working with kids who have difficulty stopping and thinking before acting.

5 Stars Hours of fun
My five-and-a-half year old son received this game as a Christmas present and, hands down, it beats anything else that he received. He wants to play it night and day. To stir things up a bit, we’ve created our own new rules, such as “you have to move backwards for 2’s,” or “you can switch places with another player for 4’s” and it makes the game even more fun and interesting.

Trouble … it’s an oldie but a goodie!

5 Stars Trouble Game no Trouble
We bought this to keep in our house when my 6 year old granddaughter visits. She already has this game at her house. She loves the game and it is an excellent one to teach children the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat of board games. Simple to learn. Fun for all to play for two to four players. Self-contained, portable and Inexpensive.

2 Stars Pieces came deformed, game looks very cheap
After reading some of the great reviews, I got this game as a gift for my step-brother in-law who is five years old. I remember playing this when I was young and I had really enjoyed the popping dice.

The game arrived quickly, but several of the little plastic pieces came misshapen and deformed out of the box. It appeared that the plastic was melted (they are very hard pieces of plastic, so this could not happen easily). The game board also seemed very flimsy and cheap, like it will soon fall apart. It felt too delicate for a child to really play with. I am pretty sure the one I had growing up was a much better quality (it survived four crazy, wild, competitive siblings playing on it for years).

Because of the misshapen pieces only three people can play this game. Altogether a great embarrassment for me, as I am sure it looks like I got my step-brother in-law a gift from a dollar store.

I recommend buying this game from another store with higher standards and easier in store returns; try Kids R Us or Target.

5 Stars Jane’s Scoop
This is a great children’s board game and lots of family fun! I must confess, we “bend” the rules a little when only two of us are playing…..! This way we get to play “lots” more games!

This board game helps with finger dexterity plus it a great beginner counting game. In addition, it teaches patience. I reccoment this game to parents with children 3 and above.

The design of the game board itself could be improved, needs to be sturdier. The plastic bubble that holds the dice is very sturdy.

Triple Hit Baseball

March 11th, 2010

Triple Hit Baseball

Learn to hit like a pro. There are three ways to play with Triple Hit Baseball, so anyone can learn. Beginners can hit from the tee to teach hand-eye coordination. In Rookie mode, balls pop up automatically, one after another. In pro mode, balls will be pitched automatically from up to 10′ away. Includes battery-powered trainer, bat and three balls. Adult assembly required. Requires 4 “D” batteries (not included).

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Great for the baseball enthusiast!

There is some small assembly when you get this toy, but it’s super easy, and takes five minutes. It works fantastic. I even had fun hitting the balls in my house. My son is 3 y.o and likes hitting the ball from the t-stand. The balls so far have not gotten stuck. I do wish it came with more balls, b/c you spend so much time chasing them. Overall, does what it promises, no problems, and I would recommend this toy.

4 Stars just as described!!!
This is a great product. My 4 year old son and his 2 year old sister have already played with the batter a lot!!! It definitely helps with skill set for my 4 year old and I think it will do so for some time to come. The only suggestion I would have is 3 balls are not enough….contact Fisher Price for more!!!

2 Stars Doesn’t hold up to 3 year old play….
My three old grandson played with this using the middle level of pitching balls for about 10 minutes when the batteries had to be replaced! I was very disappointed in it’s quality.

4 Stars cscarter
This toy is great fun for my 2 year old grandson and 6 year old granddaughter. My order was shipped promptly and received in less than a week. Thanks!!!

4 Stars a great way to learn to hit a baseball
I bought this toy for my grandson’s 4th birthday. He loves baseball and really enjoys this toy. He likes to have the ball pop up rather than use the toy as a tee, but he does sometimes use the tee. After he hits the ball, he runs around the yard, then picks up the ball and starts over again. I think this is a wonderful toy to help train a child to hit a ball. It saves the parent from having to stand their and keep throwing the ball to the child. I definitely recommend this toy for any child (boy or girl) who loves to play baseball!

Melissa and Doug USA Map 51 Piece Floor Puzzle

February 25th, 2010

Melissa and Doug USA Map 51 Piece Floor Puzzle

Geography comes to life in this jumbo-sized floor puzzle, featuring 51 shape-cut pieces of the states. Heavy-grade cardboard pieces are coated on both sides for added durability. Kids will have fun learning the states on this colorful, informative map puzzle.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Melissa & Doug USA Map
I think this is a great puzzle. It is a good learning tool and also fun to put together! I bought it for my 2 1/2 year old grandson….

5 Stars Learning experience
The puzzle was a birthday gift for my 3 year old granddaughter. It has bright colors and I love the fact that the pieces are in the shapes of the states. She has learned several states already. It also helps her visualize which states her cousins live in.

1 Star Don’t buy this puzzle!!!! At least not for educational value.
You have got to be kidding me right? They are selling this product as educational??? I am from Michigan and once again Michigan is not represented correctly. I don’t know what the yellow blob is suppose to be, but it is part of Michigan. It is called the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and this map only has the lower peninsula blocked off as Michigan. Please don’t buy this puzzle.

5 Stars Fun for adults too
It’s a good puzzle to teach kids where the states are, especially since the pieces aren’t interlocking like a normal puzzle. It’s fun and educational.

5 Stars My son loves it.
My 3 year old son loves this puzzle, but does get frustrated sometimes because the state pieces are mostly all separated at the state line. I actually prefer that the state pieces are separated at the state line.

He loves flying and loves to show with a model plane where he has been on the puzzle. I think my son at 3 has flown more than I did till I was 30.

My son loves all the Melissa & Doug floor puzzles.
