5 Stars Great learning toy!!
Purchased the Write & Learn for my 4 year old son to help his writing skills in a fun interactive way and have been very happy with the results! It holds his attention longer then schooling him with our books and he even uses it on his own! i also like the art function that teaches him to draw certain words. I have seen more confidence and less frustration in how he expresses himself with art now, let alone his writing has improved. Great practice for school right here and at such a value! it’s worth ever penny and more and has served it’s purpose so well in my opinion!

5 Stars Better than I expected…son loves it!
I bought this for my 3 year old at Christmas. It was one of the less expensive ones I bought, yet my son LOVES it and has played with it for a while now. It does lots of stuff. It teaches you how to draw letters and objects that start with all the letters. It is pretty cool. I love that the little writing “pencil” easily goes back in it’s slot using a magnet. It is nice and compact to bring in the car with your child and my son really enjoys it. Highly recommend!

5 Stars Great Learning Toy
My developmentally disabled 6 year old LOVES this toy. He got it last Christmas, it has been used and abused and still works like new. It helped him develop an interest in drawing and writing that he did not have before (due to his lack of fine motor control). It not only teaches letters, but encourages the kids to draw objects too, like a queen and an igloo. Awesome toy!

3 Stars No Screw on Battery Cover
Most children’s toys have a screw on the battery compartment, but this one did not. My 3-year old daughter quickly broke off the cover and pulled the batteries out. It seemed like a fun, educational toy for the few days she got to enjoy it.

3 Stars Just ok – battery compartment easily opened by toddler
This toy is decent for the price. My biggest gripe is that the battery compartment does not screw on. My almost 3 year old is quite capable of removing the cover and batteries. I’ve had to put it away for the time being because of this.

3 Stars Too complicated
This was a good idea, but there are too many parts for it to be enjoyable! My daughter is a huge Polly Pocket fan but only played with this toy for a few days and hasn’t gone back to it since. It pops open whenever it feels like and it’s awkward to hold on to and play with. Good theory, but I’m not usre i would buy it again.

4 Stars Frustration-Free Packaging is the greatest!
The price and the packaging were the greatest on this. I’ve never ordered items having this frustration-free packaging, but now that I have, will always. It was easy to wrap as a gift and didn’t have all that junk to get through just to play with the toy. More recycleable as well. My daughter loves Polly Pocket and all the pieces on this boat are easily kept inside the boat for easy story.

1 Star Blast someone’s eye out
My son was totally thrilled with this birthday present (from a friend). Despite our reservations, we let him play with it as long as he never aimed at anything “live.” i.e. a friend, sibling, or animal. Of course, i had my back turned when he used it most recently and he blasted his sister’s eye. Fortunately, the dart did not suction on and she was ok, but that was the end of that…the darts are now in the trash….

4 Stars My son loves it…
My son begged and begged for this and so we bought it for his birthday. He does love it. But the other reviewers are right–the darts are pretty forceful, he hit his sister with one (of course) and she yelled out (though it didn’t leave a mark). And the biggest frustration has been the fact that it only comes with three darts, which were all lost within 48 hours. Now we’re ordering a new bag of Nerf micro darts, but I’m bummed that this toy didn’t specify if those are, in fact, the correct refills. We’re just hoping. Hasbro could have done a better job by either providing more darts or the information on how to get them.

3 Stars Good for Pretend Play
I should’ve looked more closely at the description of this product before purchasing it for more three year old son for Christmas. He really would’ve rather had the blaster make noises. This particular clone trooper blaster comes with nerf foam darts. So, he uses it for pretend play and doesn’t use the nerf darts too much. I imagine an older child (age 7-9)would like the nerf dart aspect more.

3 Stars darts fire forcefully
We purchased two of these for our 4 and 6 year old sons, not realizing that they can fire the darts quite forcefully. We put the darts away, as the potential for an injury was too great. They are perfectly happy using the guns without ammunition.

I feel that this is overpriced due to the Star Wars label.

Trouble Board Game

Trouble is a board game with a simple concept: Be the first player to send your four game pieces all the way around the board, moving spaces determined by rolls of the dice. The “trouble” of the title comes when an opponent’s piece lands on a space occupied by your piece, thus sending yours back to the beginning. Parents will likely remember the game from their youth, or at least remember the game’s signature gimmick, the pop-o-matic dice roller. The Pop-o-matic is a dome-shaped clear plastic housing for the dice in the center of the board game that automatically tumbles the dice when pressed down and released. This feature, plus the board’s plastic slots that hold the game pieces in place, make Trouble a perfect travel game–car or boat motion won’t upset the game’s progress. It is indeed satisfying to press, slap, or pound the pop-o-matic. It’s strong enough to withstand the frustration of the losing player(s). The game’s simplicity makes it easy to jump into without elaborate explanations or practice games for new players, but it’s utter lack of strategy will likely limit interest to just a few rounds. –Porter B. 5 Stars Hours of fun
My five-and-a-half year old son received this game as a Christmas present and, hands down, it beats anything else that he received. He wants to play it night and day. To stir things up a bit, we’ve created our own new rules, such as “you have to move backwards for 2’s,” or “you can switch places with another player for 4’s” and it makes the game even more fun and interesting.

Trouble … it’s an oldie but a goodie!

4 Stars great for young players!
I bought this for my 6 year old for Christmas. Based on the same strategy as “Sorry”, this game is easier for the very young to play. The game is intended for ages 5 and up, but I bet most 4’s could play and probably even 3’s would enjoy it as it could be used for learning to count, number recognition and color recognition. The dice popper is hard to push sometimes, but an older player could assist hand over hand. Overall, great game for family time!

5 Stars Jane’s Scoop
This is a great children’s board game and lots of family fun! I must confess, we “bend” the rules a little when only two of us are playing…..! This way we get to play “lots” more games!

This board game helps with finger dexterity plus it a great beginner counting game. In addition, it teaches patience. I reccoment this game to parents with children 3 and above.

The design of the game board itself could be improved, needs to be sturdier. The plastic bubble that holds the dice is very sturdy.

4 Stars Fun with a purpose!
Though I grew up with Trouble and loved it, I now use it in play therapy. It is a great tool for working with kids who have difficulty stopping and thinking before acting.

5 Stars Trouble Game no Trouble
We bought this to keep in our house when my 6 year old granddaughter visits. She already has this game at her house. She loves the game and it is an excellent one to teach children the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat of board games. Simple to learn. Fun for all to play for two to four players. Self-contained, portable and Inexpensive.
