Hasbro Playskool Busy Ball Popper

Get ready for some poppin’, droppin’, air-powered fun. Drop the five colorful balls onto the track. Watch them pop out of the top, roll down, then pop out all over again. Sometimes the balls spill over for even more interactive, put-and-take play. Silly sound effects and eight upbeat tunes accompany the animated action. This toy provides one “air-mazing” experience for your little one. Measures 18″ x 7″ x 13″. Requires 4 “D” batteries (not included).

5 Stars One way to keep your child entertained
My daughter was given this toy as a presant for christmas and she still loves playing with it months later. The music is engageing and not to loud. The balls pop out hard enough to send them rolling across the room but not so hard as to cause any harm. Didn’t take my then 11 month old to figure out how to get it to work either. Definitly recomend it for others.

3 Stars a bit high maintenance for mom and dad
a great idea..my boys love the air popping toys and like this one but the air power is a little too weak and the balls often require help from an adult or they’ll just hang out in the bottom of the toy…also, my boys tend to just pull over the whole thing to check out what is going on inside the popper; this also creates popping problems…and have fun looking for all the balls every night.

4 Stars Really FUN!! Can be on the Annoying side…
This product is not for those annoyed by kids toys sounds. I don’t mind it, however, many times I found it hidden because it was driving my husband mad. Our son will play with it for very long periods of time.

Unfortunately, our puppy thought this toy was very amusing too and so the balls have been shredded to bits. Another thing about the balls. Make sure this toy is in an area where the balls don’t disappear unless you want to be ball chasing all the time when they go under the furniture.

5 Stars GREAT PRESENT
I got this produt for my nephew’s first birthday. He loved it! He plays with it with his sister (she is almost 3) and they have a blast!

It was really worth buying it!

3 Stars TOO MUCH CHASING OF THE BALLS
Just received as a birthday present for 1 year old. Was so surprised at how fast and how much of the time the balls don’t stay in the toy and are all over the floor. Even tried to re adjust chutes but didn’t help, Either I have a defective toy or it is way too much trouble to keep chasing the balls to put back. Would not recommend.

3 Stars Just stops working – We’re on our 2nd one!
I have bought two of these for my grandson. I gave him the first one about a year ago and all of a sudden, it just stopped working – we replaced the batteries, etc. with no luck. He loved it so much, I bought him a 2nd one. Same scenario – just stopped working. It’s really a shame because he really enjoyed this toy. Everytime I see him, he asks me if I bought him a new popper but I just can’t see wasting my money.

5 Stars makes her laugh!!
It is a great toy, it makes my baby laugh, Though I think she is a little to anxious to get the balls, she pulls it towards her. She is 7 months. So I have to hold it so she doesn’t hit herself!!

1 Star horrible
This is the worst baby toy my daughter has. To start with, the fan used to blow the balls up the tube is extremely noisy – it scared my daughter, who was under 1 at the time and is still afraid of the noise at 2. Secondly, it blows the balls up and out of the toy, shooting them all over the floor. The music it plays is also way too loud and there’s not way to adjust. Sometimes the balls get stuck, and its very difficult to disassemble the casing to remove a stuck ball. Simply awful invention.

4 Stars Great for littles and bigs to play together
We got this for my twin girls’ first Christmas. They were 9 months old and too young for this, but my 5 year old loved it. Now, a few months later, the babies can figure it out, push the button, drop the balls in. My son will play with it with them. It’s a fun toy, it keeps the babies occupied for a while, it even effectively allows me to sit my “don’t put me down” mama’s girl down and get a few minutes to work at something else before she starts crying to be up again.

Things I don’t like – it’s useless without the batteries. The balls need air to come back out. I think I should have gotten the Tomy toy with the spiral ramp the balls just roll down, and you pick them up, and drop them again. I didn’t think about the batteries needed aspect of the toy when I bought it.

Balls tend to roll all over if you have hardwoods which will make younger babies lose interest – but keep faster, better crawlers active.

Balls tend to disappear esp. if you have a 5 year old who likes to stash things. We were down to 2 balls for a while. Not much fun.

Air blower tends to stop pushing hard enough at times – for some reason holding your hand over the spout will make it pop harder again. My son figured this out. Babies don’t get it, they just sit there and wonder why the balls are wiggling but not popping.

Overall it’s OK. I think the best part is how it gives my older son and my babies something to do together, so long as he’s not being mean and stashing balls.

The music can be amusing, especially if you are rushing around trying to clean and the one song, I think it’s the theme to the Lone Ranger comes on – it’s like you have a sound track. Pushes you to go ever faster. Also if one baby is in the other room and I push the button, she comes crawling as fast as she can to watch. Obviously she likes it.

I got this because a friend of mine said it’s a toy her now 3 and 5 year old still won’t let her get rid of. I can see it being entertaining for a while to come, unlike a lot of other baby toys.

5 Stars Speech Therapy
My daughter started speech therapy and her theropist brought this ball popper to the house. My two year old loved it!! I bought this to inspire her to talk. After she says a word she gets ball and after all balls have been inserted she gets to run it. The silly music and the balls popping all over is so much fun she wants more and is willing to talk to get more fun. Great buy!!!

4 Stars Better Since It’s Shorter
I bought this for my son and since he can dunk on it he loves it. This was his first birthday present from me. I love basketball and hope he will enjoy it for a long time to come. A friend bought another one that doesn’t go down as low so I don’t anticipate him playing with that one much until he’s a little older. This is great for my 1 year old.

5 Stars Caleb’s basket
This was an excellent choice for an active little boy. He will enjoy this toy for a long while as it will “grow” with him!

4 Stars Little Tikes TotSports Easy Score Basketball Set
I purchased this for my Grandson’s 3rd birthday and he loves it! It is very easy to assembly and very durable, makes a good gift for a young sports enthusiast!

5 Stars Grandson loves it!
The Con’s first: hard to get it all set up (one part didn’t fit exactly right but I was able to pry the plastic pieces into the slots with a screwdriver). Also- not real sturdy, only for toddlers 2-4. That’s OK- I didn’t expect it to be otherwise.

The Pro’s: once assembled, my Grandson loved it! He is learning to make hoops from further and further away and we have lots of fun with it (sometimes I let him throw the ball backwards!). The ball is perfectly weighted so that it works as a basketball but I can still let him play with this set in the house (ball is too light to hurt anything nearby).

So…for toddlers 2-4 – I highly recommend!!

4 Stars basketball for tots
I purchased this product for my grandson’s 1st birthday. He has enjoyed putting the ball in the basket. I like the feature that allows height adjustment as he grows. Also it is a toy that can be used inside and outside. I am sure he will enjoy this product for a number of years.
