Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway Thomas the Tank Engine

Thomas the Tank is the signature bright-blue engine in the Thomas the Tank series. He does light yard work and pulls small passenger cars, such as Annie and Clarabel. Based on the award-winning television series Shining Time Station by the Reverend W. Awdry, the Thomas the Tank train system fulfills all of a child’s choo-choo dreams. Each vehicle has a different name, character, and face. It is wooden and 2 inches high with black plastic wheels. The magnetic bumpers at the ends of each vehicle make linkup easy. Children will become friends with each one, developing not only imaginative play but social skills and new motor and cognitive skills as they mature. –Sandy Hirsch

5 Stars Thomas the Train
A must have with your Thomas collection. Easy to hook up with other trains and very durable.

4 Stars Trains get uears of use
My son got this wooden train as part of a set on his first birthday. He is now eight, and although there’s a little paint missing, the engine is still going, and the Thomas trains still hold tremendous appeal. The wooden tracks are nice to play with, although I wish the whole thing were better engineered, so that when you pulled a train around the tracks, they actually stayed on better. In the end, they are pretty indestructible and wooden toys just have a kind of feel that you can never get with plastic.

5 Stars Excellent little toy
When I bought it online I thought it was a bit expensive. But it’s good quality and my daughter loves it! She takes it everywhere with her and is constantly asking for “Thomas”!

5 Stars A Really High Quality Train
I’ve purchased several wooden trains for use on my son’s wooden railway and I have been quite impressed with the quality of the Thomas and Friends Trains. They are very well made and use large plastic wheels that run easily over small imperfections in the track.

As with most character goods, the Thomas and Friends Trains come at a premium price, but careful shopping can sometimes net a bargain and I recommend you seek these toys out over lower priced rivals. They are worth the extra time and trouble to get.

1 Star Pretty small
ok i never imagined how tiny this train was, until I saw it. Definitely not worth the money. I wouldn’t have bought it. And my son was not that much interested in a small thomas whatsoever.

3 Stars A Thomas & Friends must; but too pricey
I was a railway fanatic when I was a little child; and now my son is, too, and probably more so than I ever was, thanks to the art and science of modern marketing. He wants Thomas this and Thomas that. He loves Gordon — I guess most kids love Gordon because he’s big and powerful. This hardwood toy looks nice, but doesn’t seem very durable — my son dropped it once and the wheel bases got really loose, to the point that we may need to buy another one. Also, these toys are made in China, and the trees they cut down to make these are from China, too, so I guess the cost to manufacture is probably 50 cents, but they charge U.S. consumers twenty bucks. Makes me wish I were in the toys trade.

5 Stars My son got what he wanted!
This was a basic and simple transaction. I placed an order for this particular Thomas and Friends train of Gordon through Amazon. Found a great price. Immediately placed an order and the shipment came on a timely manner with no issues.

Overall, I’m happy for how smooth the transaction was…

5 Stars Good fun
My son loves Thomas railroad and all the trains. Gordon is one of his favorites.

5 Stars As with all the Thomas Wooden Railway items, this is nice and durable
This is a very nice addition to any Thomas Wooden Railway collection. I purchased this for my son and he really enjoys it. It is durable and very detailed, just like the other Thomas Wooden items. If your child is a Thomas fan, this would be perfect for him=)

5 Stars a little pricey
Although Thomas and Friends trains are a little expensive for my taste, they are durable and well made. Kids of all ages enjoy playing w/ them.
