5 Stars Spectacular!
Use beads with typical and special needs children in regular and adapted form. Kids just love them (starting at age 2).

5 Stars More than lacing..
Purchased for my 2 year old…..we have not only used it as suggested but found many other ways to play with the beads. We roll them across the table to each other, separate them into color groups, shape groups, etc and we stack them.

5 Stars A classic for good reason
My two year old son loves everything Melissa and Doug and the lacing beads did not disappoint. This toy has many educational uses; he loves making patterns and stacking the beads like blocks. He is building his fine motor skills and working on problem solving (how to get the string through the hole without it falling out, which even led to a discussion on gravity.) The beads are well made and the wooden box they come in stores everything very neatly. A great product at a great price!

5 Stars Lacing beads
The lacing beads can be used to improve sequencing skills, to promote recognition of colors and shapes and to increase fine motor coordination skills. Is an excellent investment for everyone!

5 Stars Engaging, Simple Toy – But NOT for Under 2’s!
I love this toy – and my 22-month-old twins do as well. I would just caution that the two smallest beads, while the size of very small plums, are still just small enough that they could get lodged in your toddler’s mouth if they were inclined to try to get the whole thing in. I wouldn’t trust my kids with this toy unsupervised for at least a few months yet (or will only let them play with the half of the beads that are substantially larger.

5 Stars A summer must have
This is great for the back yard, swim club or the beach. It has an SPF30 rating so along with the shade you are also giving the little one extra sun protection. It’s very easy to put up and take down.

1 Star Not for my child
My son was 10 months old when I purchased this for outdoors. He kept trying to get out of it by trying to get through the sides, so it would end up tipping over with him in it. Maybe this is good if you have a passive baby, but not so active.

I didn’t give it 2 stars for durability or educational either. I give it 1 all around.

5 Stars love this tent
I bought this tent for a trip to Florida. It came quickly and worked great for my 7 month old to hang out in at the beach. There was enough shade and the sides allowed for a breeze to go through so she didn’t get too hot.

5 Stars Nice tent for the price
We bought this last summer for a trip to Destin, FL for our then infant son and toddler daughter. It didn’t get much use in Destin (about 10 minutes) only because we didn’t end up needing it, not because of any defect, so I can’t rate it much on its use at an actual beach. However, I can say the ease of setup and complete portability (the bars have a very ingenious, snap and lock way of folding down to about a 1-1/2 foot length, and it actually *fits* fairly easily back into its over the back travel bag) make it an A++ child’s product in my book. It’s very well thought out. We have it set up in our library now, with pillows and blankets and the kids love reading in there.

Some pros:

1. It’s extremely easy to set up and take down. Takes one person about 2 minutes.

2. Nicely portable. Folds up tiny (will fit in most diaper bags), and inside a carrying bag, with a strap that allows you to throw the bag across your back, making it easy to carry it AND your kid(s). A must for parents with diaper bags and sippy cups and snacks etc. A lot of thought was put into this aspect of the product, for which I am very grateful.

3. It’s fairly roomy. I (smallish, 5′2 mom) and both my kids can fit in there if I’m sitting up and reading to them. I can sit straight up if I’m in the middle (a little hunched, but still comfortable on the side). Right now we have about 4 blankets, 1 boppy pillow and 4 toss pillows in there and they still manage to fit themselves (3 y.o. and 1 y.o.) and a boatload of toys too. In a pinch, it could be used as a outdoor napping area, perhaps for even up to 3 toddlers.

4. Ventilated sides, so they don’t get too hot in there.

5. Bottom is lined, to protect against hot sand.

6. I find the design to be pretty ingenious, both when folded up for storage and when set up. The collapsibility of the bars help ensure that rough toddlers will just maybe unsnap them out of place rather than break them. It’s a neat little setup. Maybe I’m just easily impressed.

A few minor cons, which are to be expected considering the low price:

1. The bottom is crinkly with a waxy surface. I realize it’s for water-resistance, but it’s a bit noisy. We’ve limited the noise by piling up blankets on top but still a little annoying.

2. Fairly cheap tent material. But to be expected.

3. The mesh door folds down, where it can be held into place by little velco straps. When you have a young baby learning to walk, these little obstacles can be a minor nuisance. I think it would have been better for the door to fold up.

4. The dome design requires some sort of weight to be put inside when using outdoors, otherwise the wind will take it away. Anchors would be nice.

I’m really happy about this product and would recommend it, and other Pacific Play tents to other parents.

4 Stars Beach baby!
We were able to take our 1 month old to the beach in Hawaii with no worries. We set our bags in the tent which ensured it would not fly away, and then set down our little boy in his Bobby. He napped mostly, but we were able to lay down (outside the tent, it’s not that big) and play with hime inside the tent. It was large enough for me to get in with him to breastfeed and the mesh made sure it stayed nice and cool. Anyone who is afraid it will fly away, just put something inside it! Great value for the money.

5 Stars Perfect!
We are looking for an alternative to toxic China-made toys. This is just the thing! My kids love it and we will surely be purchasing more in the line.

5 Stars Awesome “Eco” Dump Truck!
I love the wood smell of the eco-plastic used to make the toy and all the simple mechanical features. Our little truck driver loves the big dumping lever and pull-open cab. Durable for sand or snow and was a treat to have reduced packaging, which was only a little tray thingy which recycles quickly.

This is great quality and very durable. My son has had a lot of fun using it.

5 Stars Simple toy for young children
This toy is great for young toddlers, large bright colored pieces. Can be used to teach colors, shapes and stringing different pieces together. A good way to entertain an youngster.

4 Stars Great learning toy
My two year old grandson loves these beads. They are great for working on eye/hand coordination. A couple of the smallest beads could be a choking hazard, as is the string, but we just watch him closely while he uses them.

5 Stars Another great leappad book
My daughter (2 1/2) LOVES this book. I bought her this one, Dora and the princess book. She liked this one the best. She just sits and goes through the whole book, then turns it over and does it all over again. Really an outstanding book!

5 Stars Most fun of all Leap stories so far
Of the 4 “My First Leap Pad” books we have, this is the most fun (and we haven’t even seen the movie). My 3 year old daughter loves all the fun sounds of the items in the kitchen and the music is captivating for her and we like it too. As far as being educational, it’s on par with the other leap books but the underlying story is what makes this one extra charming.

5 Stars Lots of fun while learning
This was the first book and cartridge we bought to accompany our children’s Little Touch Leap Pad. It was a great choice! My Kindergartner loves it, even our 3 year old is learning. There are simple instructions to follow along as your youngster learns numbers, colors, food groups, even how different items in the kitchen work. The unit itself is compact and has a convenient carry handle to make this a cinch to take along in the car. Our kids enjoy every one of the activities, which is not usually the case with electronic toys, and they especially love the page where they help dress Linguini from head to toe before he dashes off to work. The voices are the same as the characters in the movie, and the art work is colorful and fun. I am so happy with this set that I will purchase two more as holiday gifts for friend’s children.

5 Stars My son loves it
This is a nice addition to the My First Leap Pad. My son loves his Leap Pad, and has a great time playing with it on his own. He got this for Christmas and has already gone through the whole book numerous times. He really likes the French portion, and has been repeating French phrases around the house.
