1 Star Defective mold prevented attachment of pistol stock
This toy has two components. The front detaches and can be used a compact launcher.

The pistol stock has to be attached to the front component. On the toy we received the stock could not be properly inserted. It was clocked by a protruding mold. In a partly inserted state it could not engage the firing mechanism.

I had to cut away parts of the rear protruding “wings” with a sharp knife and a dremel. After removing parts of the plastic pieces I was able, with some force, to snap the pistol grip firmly in place. It is now locked in place and works as designed.

This looks like a error in the mold or design, not a change manufacturing slip-up.

Once fully assembled it’s a fun toy, but I do not recommend purchasing this until you know Hasbro has eliminated this problem.

4 Stars Hasbro Nerf N-strike Longshot
Our 8 year old son loves his Longshot! He & all the other Nerf gun warriors in the neighborhood are having a great time! He’s had it for little over 3 weeks now. The only negative thing to say about this toy at this time is that the longer part of the Longshot does regularly “chew up” the bullets as the are being chambered. This leads to a jammed toy & torn up bullets. It is much lighter to carry around than the Nerf Vulcan that his brother has.

The Nerf Longshot CS-6 is pretty good quality but sometimes the darts get jammed up. I like that it can be upgraded with the scope and has an extra ammunition mag. It is a 2 in 1 blaster and has good accuracy.

Bought this with the CS-6 to have battles with my son! What great toys for hours of indoor fun! Just keep losing darts! haha

1 Star Listen to the ones with low ratings
I was hestitant to allow my son to buy this item but he convinced me to buy it locally. It is a good thing. The bullets are tore up with just a few hours of play. The guns jams frequently and becomes frustrating to play with it.

This is the second nerf gun we have purchased that we will be returning within a day. Nerf needs to go back and just stick with footballs.

3 Stars The Tripod doesn’t work either.
Isn’t the tripod supposed to hold the weapon horizontally? It does no such thing – just tilts all the way back with no resistance until the pistol grip rests on the tabletop or floor. Kind of lame!

2 Stars Best of the best one day, lowest of the low the other
There have been many reviews of this gun. Some have described it as something from heaven, but there have been many that described it as the exact opposite. Personally, I agree with both. This is a something many people have been waiting for a very long time. Sadly, this one largest ripoffs yet! When you first try out the gun, it is exactly what you expect of an automatic gun. But after just one day, it breaks down. By that, I mean that it doesn’t feed any darts and won’t fire any darts. If you have one that’s still working after a long period, consider youselves lucky. With this economy, I doubt you’ll find any good quality Nerf guns.

This toy does not work! The bullets jam, making it impossible to shoot even a few bullets much less a whole round… a serious bummer for a kid who saw the commercial way too many times. Save your money for something that works!

1 Star What a Letdown!
My son was looking forward to getting this Nerf Gun for his B-day w/his b-day money…I think it’s overpriced for what you get…just like the other comments made…the clip that holds all the nerf bullets jams in the chamber every time and takes all the fun out of the toy..do they not test their products….? This is obviously a manufacturing problem being there are alot of comments made concerning this same problem! My opinion is don’t spend your money on this Nerf gun..was a big disappointment for my son.

1 Star Worst purchase ever
Worst gun ever!!!!!!! at least after the first couple days. If possible, i wouldnt give it any stars. It jammed the first time I used it, and i had to fix it. It jammed at least 3 times when it started to work. It was awsome. I turned on the moter and it never worked again. Its been almost a year now and the stupid thing still dosnt work

If you get this (DO NOT GET THIS!!!!) never use the moter.

5 Stars Nerf wars are fun!
you can fire it quickly and it’s pretty accurate. the “bullets” have to go in all the way or it gets stuck, but you just push in the “bullet” and its okay again. I have a number of Nerf guns and this is usually the one I chose when we have Nerf wars.

this toy is awsome for the price get it Im a a big nerf fan. Im a kid who really tests its abiity and strength it always is like I just took it out of the box its much bigger the it apears on the picture it is much larger then the night finder. over all this is the perfect hand gun to have in the rage of war. the onlything I do not like is that u have to re-load after 6 shots. no gun is perfect)I also like the recon-CS36 get this product you wont regret!!!!!!!!!!

5 Stars Works great, but same price as local stores
Product works great, It’s able to do what it claims to do. it launches the darts 20 feet and still able to stick to flat surfaces. Great stable flight of the darts. Drop is significant over distance but expected for a toy.

Opening Cylinder for reloading is a little hard, But I don’t even open it anymore as you can load it from the muzzle just by pressing the trigger which rotates the cylinder and loading each dart.

Great buy but price was not that good as I found it for the same price at local Target and Walmart.

5 Stars GREAT GUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At first I might have rated this 2 stars overall because the darts don’t stick to all surfaces but me and my brother decided the darts should be stun darts. If they hit you, you get a free shot. As I said on my other review, you need to get extra ammunition. You can’t put other types of darts in the gun because it gets jammed. Pros…great gun, tons of fun. Cons…sometimes the barrel gets jammed, not a good starter gun. Overall, a great gun.

5 Stars Best of the line
This was my first Nerf gun, and I’ve had it little under a year, but it is definetely first in line for my arsenal. Even though reloading’s a bit tricky and tedious at first, it is extremely exciting in a fire fight. And you don’t even have to flip out the chamber. The conveniently placed gaps on the sides make it easy to just slip one in, change the chamber, and repeat. It even has the handy ability to un-cock the firing slide when you want to fake fire it.

Dare I say this, but this little pistol has a greater range than the ‘Longshot,’ or Shortstop, as I call it. Just don’t aim for the eyes…

This thing doesn’t break easily either. I once dropped it while climbing a tree about 20-25 feet up and it didn’t even have a scratch.

I’d say that this is a must have for any Nerf fan, no matter what age. I hope more ideas like this can be used in the future.

4 Stars Good sniper rifle.
This gun is a great sniper. It uses streamline darts which gives it great range.the scope isn’t the best, but its better then nothing. The only problem with it, is it can’t stand raids. You need a guy to back you up, most preferably, the Wildfire. Overall a good gun and definitely recommended

3 Stars Jams easily.
The darts get jammed too easily. Does not have the distance I thought it would have. A little disappointed.

4 Stars Cool gun!!
This gun is pretty cool, It shoots about 30 ft. Sometimes it gets jammed and the bullets bend but the overall gun is great. The scope is not very accurate so you will have to point it just a little higher than your target. Overall Its a good gun with realistic loading.

4 Stars Supreme Nerf Gun
I purchased this Nerf gun for my 9 year old grandson and he loved it! It is different from the others since it comes with a bullet belt that allows the child to shoot about 20 bullets in rapid succession. I would strongly suggest you purchase an extra belt clip to add to the gun.

4 Stars Fun, but the Recon is a better buy.
I bought this because my son and I were looking at the Nerf guns to get a second one to play with. I liked the idea of having a sniper like rifle and we had already bought the Recon CS-6. I must say, the Recon was a better buy. This gun is fun, and my son loves the fact we can change it around, his favorite piece being the scope (he’s three so we just target shoot). I’m glad to have purchased the blue model since Nerf now has a yellow version. The bad about the new version is its the same price for less. No extra clip or darts. And though you should never modify these toys, I must admit I did the simple mods that i found online. My son and I had a blast taking the gun apart and seeing how it works. I agree with another reviewer that this gun had Modders in mind as it was very simple to do.

Again, like the Recon I plan on using this gun in a real-world application of Algebra and compare the velocity of the projectiles.

Now if the wife would only let me buy another Nerf gun…
