Barbie Luv Me 3 Tricky Triplets Playset

BARBIE LUV ME 3 Tricky Triplets Playset Its the day of the Pet Show, with Barbie doll and pups performing all their new tricks! Theres a competition jumping ring, tall tunnel slide, a three-tiered winners stage with trophies, ribbons and treats for when they win, place and show. Best of all, all three pups can “jump” in Barbie dolls arms for love and hugs for a job well done! A must have for any Barbie fan!

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Barbie toy
I bought this for our 3 grandaughters (ages 5 to 9) and they love it. They quickly learned how to make the dogs jump, etc. There should be a warning to keep this away from computers, tapes, etc. because of the magnets inside. I got this on sale, so the price was very good.

4 Stars Cute toy
This is such an adorable and fun set. The puppies are cute and the doll cutely dressed and well made. My daughter received this for Christmas and was soooo excited when she opened it up. The only complaint is that the ring the puppies “jump” through does not stay on the platform very well at all. Of course it may on a hard surface floor, rather than carpet. Overall we’ve had fun playing with it and have had no problem with the puppies “jumping” into Barbies arms.

3 Stars Lots of little pieces get lost
I wish the barbie sets like these would not come in so many pieces. They get lost so easily and the doll that comes with the set isn’t usually as good quality to make up for having to put all the pieces in there. Lost the pieces in a day – a new record for my 6 year old.

5 Stars Beautiful doll, got it for under $10. Great buy for my nephew. As in most dolls, hair gets bad quickly.
Beautiful doll, got it for under $10. Great buy for my nephew. As in most dolls, hair gets bad quickly. Dogs are fun to play.

5 Stars Lots of play value in Barbie Luv Me 3 Tricky Triplets Playset
Six year old Allison gives it two thumbs up! She loves teaching the three dogs, included in this set, to jump through hoops, run down ramps and much more!

Barbie and The Diamond Castle Princess Liana Doll

October 23rd, 2009

Barbie and The Diamond Castle Princess Liana Doll

Barbie doll is featured here as Princess Liana from “Barbie and The Diamond Castle” who sings two songs from the movie and wears a mesmerizing glittery gown that magically transforms with the flip of a switch. Her necklace lights up when she sings. Pair her with the Princess Alexa doll, sold separately, to hear beautiful duets. Requires 3 “button-cell” batteries, included. Doll measures 11.5″ tall.

User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star Just another boring barbie doll
Another boring plastic MIC toy that was played with for 5 minutes and then ended up on the bottom of the toy box. Doesn’t provide endless hours of fun. Doesn’t promote creativity or imagination. Nowhere near as much fun as good old fashion paper and crayons.

5 Stars My daughter loves this!
I purchased this for my daughter because she loves the movie so much. Her eyes lit up when she saw this. I also got her the soundtrack, so she’s loving it right now. A comment from someone was made about the hair not looking the same as the picture. If you look at the back of Liana, there is a clear plastic piece that needs to be cut. Once that is cut, her hair looks like the picture. Just a little info in case this could help someone. My daughter loves this and will for a long time to come!

4 Stars Girls like her but the dress is awkward
The dress is and interesting idea but I think my daughters would rather have a normal dress. Still they like the doll.

4 Stars Barbie Diamond Castle Liana Doll
My 4 year old daughter loves this doll. The clothes cannot be removed but it doesn’t seem to bother her. She loves the music it plays.

4 Stars My daughter loves it…I think that I should have waited until it went on clearance
My daughter is a big barbie fan. She loves the diamond castle movie and always sings the “connected” song. All she asked santa for was the diamond castle barbie. So I bought both of the best friend barbies. My daughter loves them and still plays with them but I really should have waited because now it is $15.00 (which is what it is worth) and I paid like $27.00 for it.

Alfred Hitchcock The Birds Barbie Doll

October 21st, 2009

Alfred Hitchcock The Birds Barbie Doll

In 1963, Alfred Hitchcock, the Master of Suspense, gave us a tale of terror not soon forgotten in his film The Birds. Dressed in a re-creation of the stylish green skirt suit worn by the films ill-fated heroine in an iconic scene, Alfred Hitchcocks The Birds Barbie?Doll celebrates the 45th anniversary of the acclaimed film. From the dolls classic ensemble to the perfectly painted expression to the accompanying black birds, every aspect captures the films infamous appeal.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars collector Hitchcock brother LOVES it!
It’s amazingly detailed, right down to her stylish outfit and Mona Lisa smile as the birds attack her…the only reason I have no durability rating is that my collector brother will never take it out of the box! Highly recommended. Piece of art.

5 Stars the birds
Great for the adult collector. Who could have guessed that Mattel would have such a great sense of humor?

4 Stars I can’t believe this doll exists
What on Earth would possess Mattel to make a doll out of a woman being attacked by birds? Whatever it was, I’m loving it!

“The Birds” is an iconic horror film and Barbie is an icon. I have lots of Barbies that I just collect because they are unique. I take them out of the box and let me nieces play with them. I’m not a strict or avid collector. BUT, this one stays in the box. The package designer did a great job in creating the mood. The toy designer did a great job with the costume & detail, although I think Tippy looked a lot more horrified than does Barbie. It’s a great collectible for pop culture fanatics. I hope they make more in this style.

4 Stars Delightful..but disturbing
Not really sure if this doll is what we’ve all been waiting for or a symptom of marketing gone berserk, but I’m glad I own it. Can’t imagine what they were thinking when they decided to run this one off the assembly line, though the other Barbie collectibles (especially the Cher doll in which she’s dressed like an Outer Space whore) are equally obtuse sometimes.

The doll looks…like Barbie, with Tippi Hedren’s hairstyle and costume. The most macabre detail is that she’s smiling, while the detachable crows are nesting in her hair and clothing. I wonder why Tippi wasn’t given a small phone booth as a setting, but the schoolhouse background covers the experience. Not really a quality, museum-piece item, but for sheer laughs and conversation, practically unbeatable.

Suggestions for future Barbies:

Barbie as Sissy Spacek in “Carrie”

Ken as Steve McQueen in “The Blob”

Ken as Gene Hackman in “The Poseidon Adventure”

Barbie as Jessica Lange in “Frances”

Barbie as Allison Hayes in “Fifty Foot Woman” (With Tiny Ken as Harry)

5 Stars Amazingly well executed Adult Collectible
Ignore the one-star rating below. This is for an Adult Collector, not the kids. This is a Black Label collectible which is described as “Sensational dolls designed for the adult collector”! On that level I concur with the rest of the 5 star ratings here. There are Barbies for kids and then there’s Barbie’s for the dads, like me, who love Hitchcock & camp & perfect execution which this piece nails. I plan to display it at Halloween time along with my 12″ Sideshow Horror figures: Frankenstein and Igor! ;-)

Barbie Thumbelina Doll

October 17th, 2009

Barbie Thumbelina Doll

Tiny people called Twillerbees live happily in their flower village until the building of a factory threatens to destroy it! Thumbelina and her friends realize it’s up to them to do something to save their home. They may be small, but Thumbelina knows… Every little girl can make a world of difference.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Adorable & Durable
This doll is adorable. My two daughters 5 & 2 love it. The blooming flower is easy enough that my two year old can work it.

4 Stars My Niece loves it
Got this for my 3 year old niece for her Birthday and she loves it. Its very girly with the wings and colors. It has a comb and I think a little head piece for the doll. She’s very into dolls so this one is a winner.

5 Stars Beautiful Doll
As always, Robert Best did a superb job of designing the 50th anniversary doll. She is absolutely stunning in every way. For the collector, she is this years’ addition! Her golden dress hair and jewelry are perfect for this the golden anniversary of one of the world’s best loved dolls!

5 Stars 50th Gold Anniversary Barbie at “Robert’s Best!”
50th Anniversary Barbie Glamour Doll50th Anniversary Barbie Glamour African American Doll

I did not expect the “50 dollar” 50th Anniversary Barbie Doll to be such a stunner and of such high quality! Robert Best has done it again, with beautiful faces, gorgeous gowns, glittering accessories–right down to Barbie’s “50th” Bracelet and Drop-Dead Gorgeous earring in faux diamonds. Her Hair, her make up, her GOWN–I love it all. It is always something of a gamble to choose from a photo. No gamble here. And, Mattel’s newer “see-through” packaging makes it so those of us who are “NRFB’ers” (Never Remove From Box) just _tickled_! You can see just about every part of this lovely Golden Lady without touching any lids, tapes or seals. Well done Mattel and Mr. Best. 5 Stars and Thumbs Up! CAUTION: small parts, not for small children if deboxed! She’s not an expensive, Silkstone or High-end collectible, but definitely belongs on MY Collectible Barbie Shelf. Really for the Late Teens to Adult Collector. Written by a Serious Barbie Collector….

5 Stars Collector Barbie Doll
I bought this Barbie for my grown daughter who collects Barbies. She is very particular about the boxes as she never removes the doll from them, but only displays them and the box and doll arrived in perfect condition.

5 Stars 50th Anniversary Barbie Glamour Doll
This doll sold out fast and Amazon was the only place that I could obtain,

also at a reasonable price. It was delivered in perfect condition, including the plastic display box, which most other places will not guarantee. I continue to shop at Amazon as it has been a pleasant experience each and every time.

5 Stars Collector Item
I purchased this doll for my wife’s collection. She loves it and I had to immediately had to buy 2 additional dolls for my granddaughters. The price was less than I could find it elsewhere, besides I did not have to pay tax or shipping. I am not able to rate it as listed above because it is a collector item.
