3 Stars Very basic wooden vehicles that roll
The vehicles are super basic rolling wooden toys. I will probably not purchase again.

5 Stars Bacl tp Basic Toys
I bought this for my grandson and he plays with them all he time. He especially likes to put them on my Queen Anne furniture and race them. Since he is my grandson I indulge him. The toys are great!

5 Stars Another great Melissa and Doug toy
This was a gift for my son’s first birthday. The set of 3 is colorful and sturdy and I know he will enjoy them for years to come.

5 Stars My Grandson Loves these!
It took about a minute for my grandson (just 10 months old) to find that the back of the airplane fits his mouth just fine! He has been rolling the truck around, and in a few minutes discovered the propeller and began turning it. This toy set is close to indestructable, and reminds me a lot of the old-style toys I recall from the 50s… big blocky, solidly built, definitely child-proof. I am so glad I found these for his first visit from Santa!

3 Stars Ok
I got this for my then 21 month old. I thought he would like the airplane. He hasn’t played with them much, maybe when he is older he will like them better.

5 Stars A summer must have
This is great for the back yard, swim club or the beach. It has an SPF30 rating so along with the shade you are also giving the little one extra sun protection. It’s very easy to put up and take down.

1 Star Not for my child
My son was 10 months old when I purchased this for outdoors. He kept trying to get out of it by trying to get through the sides, so it would end up tipping over with him in it. Maybe this is good if you have a passive baby, but not so active.

I didn’t give it 2 stars for durability or educational either. I give it 1 all around.

5 Stars love this tent
I bought this tent for a trip to Florida. It came quickly and worked great for my 7 month old to hang out in at the beach. There was enough shade and the sides allowed for a breeze to go through so she didn’t get too hot.

5 Stars Nice tent for the price
We bought this last summer for a trip to Destin, FL for our then infant son and toddler daughter. It didn’t get much use in Destin (about 10 minutes) only because we didn’t end up needing it, not because of any defect, so I can’t rate it much on its use at an actual beach. However, I can say the ease of setup and complete portability (the bars have a very ingenious, snap and lock way of folding down to about a 1-1/2 foot length, and it actually *fits* fairly easily back into its over the back travel bag) make it an A++ child’s product in my book. It’s very well thought out. We have it set up in our library now, with pillows and blankets and the kids love reading in there.

Some pros:

1. It’s extremely easy to set up and take down. Takes one person about 2 minutes.

2. Nicely portable. Folds up tiny (will fit in most diaper bags), and inside a carrying bag, with a strap that allows you to throw the bag across your back, making it easy to carry it AND your kid(s). A must for parents with diaper bags and sippy cups and snacks etc. A lot of thought was put into this aspect of the product, for which I am very grateful.

3. It’s fairly roomy. I (smallish, 5′2 mom) and both my kids can fit in there if I’m sitting up and reading to them. I can sit straight up if I’m in the middle (a little hunched, but still comfortable on the side). Right now we have about 4 blankets, 1 boppy pillow and 4 toss pillows in there and they still manage to fit themselves (3 y.o. and 1 y.o.) and a boatload of toys too. In a pinch, it could be used as a outdoor napping area, perhaps for even up to 3 toddlers.

4. Ventilated sides, so they don’t get too hot in there.

5. Bottom is lined, to protect against hot sand.

6. I find the design to be pretty ingenious, both when folded up for storage and when set up. The collapsibility of the bars help ensure that rough toddlers will just maybe unsnap them out of place rather than break them. It’s a neat little setup. Maybe I’m just easily impressed.

A few minor cons, which are to be expected considering the low price:

1. The bottom is crinkly with a waxy surface. I realize it’s for water-resistance, but it’s a bit noisy. We’ve limited the noise by piling up blankets on top but still a little annoying.

2. Fairly cheap tent material. But to be expected.

3. The mesh door folds down, where it can be held into place by little velco straps. When you have a young baby learning to walk, these little obstacles can be a minor nuisance. I think it would have been better for the door to fold up.

4. The dome design requires some sort of weight to be put inside when using outdoors, otherwise the wind will take it away. Anchors would be nice.

I’m really happy about this product and would recommend it, and other Pacific Play tents to other parents.

4 Stars Beach baby!
We were able to take our 1 month old to the beach in Hawaii with no worries. We set our bags in the tent which ensured it would not fly away, and then set down our little boy in his Bobby. He napped mostly, but we were able to lay down (outside the tent, it’s not that big) and play with hime inside the tent. It was large enough for me to get in with him to breastfeed and the mesh made sure it stayed nice and cool. Anyone who is afraid it will fly away, just put something inside it! Great value for the money.

Prince Lionheart Wheely Bug Bug Small

September 9th, 2009

Prince Lionheart Wheely Bug Bug Small

Bright, soft, friendly, unisex design. An instant attraction to little girls and boys alike.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Longevity!
My daughter received a small for her 1st birthday, and is now 3. She still plays with this almost every day. I know it is for indoor use only, but a few times it has made its way outside, and even survived the rough neighbor boy who decided it would make a great ride down the sloped driveway. (Not recommended!!!!!!) But the point being, it survived intact.

So, we’re going on using it for 2 1/2 years now, and I am even considering buying the replacement large, as this toy will be surely missed when the girls outgrow “her”. My 5 1/2 year old also loves “her” — and she is TALL. DD5 is clearly too tall for the small, but likes to just scoot around once in a while on her.

5 Stars Great walker/ride-on
When I was buying this, we couldn’t find one locally to decide whether to get the large or the small, so hopefully this helps some…

My daughter was 9 months when we got this. She is on the tall side for her age so we got the large size. It was just a tiny bit too big…she could just barely touch her tiptoes while seated. But she loved to stand facing it, holding onto the handlebar and push it around. Now that she is 10 months, she already can touch better while seated and can scoot a little. And she has mastered the mount/dismount.

5 Stars My daughter loves it!
I got the large wheely bug for my daughter’s first birthday based on other reviews that I read. While she is still too short to sit on it and wheel around, she LOVES to push it around. I would definitely recommend this toy!

5 Stars EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE
We purchase the large bee bug for Christmas for our two children, they love it! It is soft and easy for all ages to ride! It seems like all children tend to gravitate to it!! Anyway, one of the wheels broke on the bug and I called up Prince Lionheart’s customer service and they are sending a replacement out to me no questions asked, at no cost!!! Also to top it off a REAL person answered the phone right away!!! That is unheard of in today’s age, now that is what I call excellent customer service!!!!

5 Stars PRince Lionheart Bumble Bee Ride on Toy
I ordered the small based on other recommendations for my 1 year old grandson. It was too small, but he is a bit tall for his age. He loves riding on this toy. It is well made. The only thing I would like is to have the handle bar a bit higher. It is a very nice riding toy and easy to maneuver.

4 Stars Many things to explore on Mortimer!
This is a wonderful toy for infants learning noises and textures! My daughter loves the squeaky tummy and the rattling feet! She is only 4 months old and it is a little large for her. The only thing that concerns me is that when she is playing with it and trying to get it in her mouth, I’m afraid the pointy part of the antler is going to get her in the eye! So I just watch her when she has him! But over all it is a great toy at a great price. It would make a wonderful baby shower present!

5 Stars Great Toy
My grandaughter is now 6 months old & this is her favorite toy. She has already been fascinated by it & playing with it for at least a couple of months. The variety of parts on the toy make it a best value for your money.

5 Stars Great fun
My daughter is 10 months old and loves this toy. We do a little peek a boo where he sneaks out under my leg. She comes searching for him and the squeaks at her. She’s laughing the whole time.

She also likes the crackling sounds his feet make. I can’t convince her to use the ears to chew on. The hook is great for attaching this toy to strollers and they don’t get lost as easy.

5 Stars Fantastic portable toy!
My little girl loves this! We take it everywhere we go. You can’t go wrong with any of the Lamaze animals.

5 Stars Mortimer the Man
My baby was born October 28, 2008. Simple review, he was his best friend for the first 7 months of his life! He still travels with us and we use that white clip to attach him to the stroller or car seat now that he throws things. If you’re a mother or father and contemplating something for your newborn, buy Mortimer.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars LOVE IT!
We LOVE this toy! We have one in the diaper bag and the other one on the baby’s changing table to entertain him when he’s cranky. This is sometimes the only thing that can distract our baby from a meltdown.

5 Stars Can’t live without it!
We bought this on the recommendation of a friend for our 6-month old twins. At first, they just watched the lights. Now at 11 months, they reach for it and prefer it over other toys. The music is fun and upbeat and the lights are great and keep the baby busy. As a mom, I like that the volume has 3 settings: off, low and high. The “high” isn’t really that loud either. We have it set to the lower setting, and turn it off when we put it in the diaper bag. If you don’t push “play” again after the song is done, it stops, so it’s not constantly playing and driving you nuts. Great toy at a great price.

5 Stars this is awasome
this is her favorit toy. its small enough to carry and so easy for her to push the buttons to play the music. yhe music wasn,t to loud either.

5 Stars Lovely music, great price

My twin grand-daughters are 10 months old and they really enjoyed this toy. The music is great and it’s light weight enough to go in the car, crib etc.

5 Stars Baby Einstein Takealong Tunes
This is the cutest and it plays music and the colors are great. My granddaughter is only 3 months old and she just loves it.
